What about kicker?

Sep 21, 2014, 6:23 PM

We have to get that figured out. Take the redshirt off Spence and get him some experience the next couple games. At home. I'm not expecting the kid to nail 50-yard bombs or win road games in overtime, but he have to be able to hit 23-yarders.

That makes no sense.

Makes since to me

One of the good coaching moves TB ever made was against FSU where he refused to kick, even extra points. We won because of that decision and it has gotten to that point.

What about play calling on short yardage situations ? Will the Chad do anything differently ?

So I am officially starting the lets push Morris out campaign. The man read a book on offensive plays essentially following Malzone, the problem is he does not know how to adjust during the game. After the game he always finds a player to blame (i.e Watson cant take a snap from center), Venables coaches them up and always says the fault lies in the coaches to prepare them. We need to dump this fake and recruit Lawrence Riley of ECU who can adjust schemes to the ooponent and personnel

They haven't awarded a special teams player of the game yet

Sep 21, 2014, 8:19 PM

Morris has digressed as a play call and OC. We are predictably conservative in first down (run 75-80%) and has no real answer for short yardage. Put in an extra tight end and McCullough as a lead blocker and smash it off tackle. Folks it ain't complicated-- He just wants to prove his cutesy way will work. It probably will against weak teams, but it won't against the likes of UGA, FSU, and USC. He has got to get his head out of the sand!!!

Same old song and dance following the loss of a big game we should have won. Does he have a clue as to the awful play-calling on those critical short yardage situations?? And, we "dominated in the trenches??" Not on those short yardage situations, but then the play-calling in those critical situations was so bad, I'm not sure you can blame the OL. Wake up, my man.
