I really thought he was staying, I don’t understand why they didn’t announce it last week and why BV wasted time with recruits. Hope it doesn’t cost us recruits thinking they were lied to

Congrats Coach V!

Well deserved! So happy for you!

THANK YOU for everything you did at Clemson! I’ll be rooting for your success! I hope our two teams meet up in a playoff spot down the line.

In my opinion…

They waited because he wasn’t the top choice. I think they met with Lanning last night after the SEC championship game and he turned them down. That would explain why they waited and why BV was recruiting for us.

We need to act fast, we cannot lose this man

Let’s bring in someone with something to prove

Dec 5, 2021, 8:44 AM

BV had nothing left to prove as a DC. Good move for him. Not sure why people are overly worried here. What I kept hearing from people outside of Clemson is that we had lost our mojo by getting blown out by LSU and then Ohio State. Maybe it’s time for a new DC.

Brent has incredibly high standards and integrity and takes pride in what he does and wants to prove that to everyone including his family and himself. Unlike anyone we may bring in coach V has proven all he needs to prove and I am not thrilled for Dabo to have to go try and find someone that has not proven anything to Clemson nation.

Then you’re left with nobody***

And what do you propose we do?

Let coaches go recruit players for us then leave, then talk about how happy we are that they spit in our recruits faces and wish them success lol

ESPN is reporting it along with 247 sports. ON3 website reports it but you click on it and the article doesn't come up like it has been retracted or something. The only other thing is twitter has blown up with it. This coaching search is a farce! I don't think OU knows which way they want to go.

The man was doing his job. He was a great coach for us. Don’t let selfishness creat hate. He deserves to be a head coach. He stayed longer than most would.

I didn’t think Venables wanted to be a head coach. I’ll respect the hell out of him and hope he does big things at Oklahoma.
