Couldn't agree more.
Elliot has no answers when his play calls don't work or an opponent has his number. This goes back to the OSU game. He is like a deer in headlights!
We have enough speed to stretch out some running plays, jet sweeps, etc..but he keeps calling up the middle or off tackle plays..not to mention wide receivers and tight ends that DJ can't seem to connect with- DJ appears to have no confidence and his feet are stuck in cement- he is flatfooted even on his passes. He's got no rhythm or touch. He has had his shot and it's time to move on to, as Dabo says, next man up!! Sorry DJ. - Shipley looks good, can he play QB ?
Dabo that's on you. And btw, do you not approve the play calls in critical game situations like at the end of the game. Snapping the ball 4 yards deep in the EZ with 7 sec left seems crazy and with a bit more bad luck like happened on the on-side kick, that fumble could have cost us the game. A lot of high level decisions were botched in both the Ga and Ga tech game. I would have started another QB in the 2nd half of the Ga game or at least after the first series of the 3rd Q since DJ did the same as the 1st half. I did see any real halftime adjustments to speak of in either game ( again goes back to Tony Elliot and Dabo).
If things don't get sorted out and a QB change is not made, we will lose our first of many games this year and the bad thing is, it will be to the team that I can't stand, NCSU !! Please don't let that happen!!!!
