I found this description of the duties of a head coach. Since we seem to have a coach of the offense and a coach of the defense and myriad position coaches I think alot of us get a bit confused as to what Dabo actual does. Is he calling plays? I don't think so.
"A head coach is responsible for managing teams, monitoring each player's performance, conditioning the team's skills by conducting training sessions, and encouraging the trainees to reach their full potential. Head coaches assess the team's coordination during training or a game, adjusting strategies and improving techniques as needed."
Thoughts? As a fan of football sometimes I find that I never really gave serious thought to what the head coach actually does. I think based on the above description that choosing coaches that can sync up the players is a crucial duty for Dabo. It is on him to put his finger exactly on the problems and to quickly find viable solutions whether it be coaching, conditioning, or general morale.
