I'm doing something unheard of and pulling for the team I'm an alumni of to be in the final four. Go Tigers!

If they really get 14 teams in, odds are HEAVILY, stacked in their favor. It won’t be like years passed because of numbers alone. Absurd!!!

Well Duke won the ACC without their best player. Not sure what that says about the rest of the ACC, but I do have my thoughts on what most people around the country are thinking about the current state of our conference, basketball and football wise.

Clemson did what Clemson does almost every year

from an outsider’s perspective. Good season, get knocked out of ACCT in two or fewer games, watch Duke/UNC/Louisville/etc… find a way to win.
Because we are Clemson fans, we celebrate this being our best team under CBB, but statistically that only translated to 2 more wins this season than last season, and 3 more than the season before. Nationally, that doesn’t move the needle. We need to keep improving in the regular season, but start making noise in tournaments as well, if we want the narrative to change. Let’s hope we can do that in the NCAAT this year.

It used to be a team from the ACC needed atleast a 500 regular season record to get an invite to the dance. With the NET, the SEC will now lilely get two teams that finished 6 games below 500 in the regular season standings. Winning against conference opponents means nothing anymore. Both for ACC teams (ie Clemson as a 5 or 6 seed, and SMU not getting in) and SEC teams with losing records. The ACC may as well go back to an 18 game schedule and try to play more Big East teams out of conference.

Most definitely going to have to take the OOC schedule up a notch if the ACC stays as is.
Used to be blue bloods…need to step up. Louisville definitely took steps in the right direction.
Wake, GT, Syracuse all used to be really good to great teams in years past. Sprinkle in some good seasons for NC State as well and the ACC looks a lot better. If Clemson maintains that’s just a bonus for the ACC if these others return to what they once were.

Wondering this comes up so often? It’s clear the top to bottom strength of the ACC is down. The ACC was down in football in 2018 but once we won it all it made no difference.
