our freshmen DEs and tackles. They will learn an awful lot from these guys while getting playing time and learning how our system works. Takes a lot of pressure off of them right out of the box! Couldn't be better!

Because of all the recruiting hype, we tend to think these freshmen are ready to play immediately. Most, even the eventual great ones, are no where ready to play as freshmen other than spot duty. Dabo is quick to point out that the Sammy Watkins are few and far between.

It also opens up the possibility of a Freshman QB starting over a senior or the senior being able to play more aggressively without worry. With a DL as dominate and deep as this teams opponents are not likely to score much.

I see the freshmen getting valuable PT since we rotate so much on both sides of the ball. Also, they'll be competing against each other in practice. Oh, and the veterans will definitely mentor the freshies!
