Brownell received a three-year extension in July to bring his total contract length to five years for $20 million. He is making $3.5 million in the 2024-25 season, $3.75 million in 2025-26, $4 million in 2026-27, $4.25 million in 2027-28 and $4.5 million in 2028-29.

Is this 6 years on top of that which would last through 2034-2035 or is that deal now null and void?

through 2031 so that would be 6 years from right now and not on top of the other contract - assuming that's correct.

It doesn't seem to matter how long his contract is. They just keep extending it whether he is doing good or bad.

I hope Brad is the best, but we still haven’t won anything. At best he is on par with a few others at this point. But I am certainly glad he’s staying.

I believe I would have waited to see how we do in the NCAA tournament. Anything less than sweet 16 will be a disappointment to many. I’m just happy that we made the tournament. I still think we missed a wonderful opportunity to win the ACC.
