This country has been breeding and grooming mass shooters for decades. Grand Theft Auto Three debuted in 2001 and changed the whole videogame environment. It's basically an open world where you walk around and murder people. The "first person shooter" titles are available by the hundreds and age ranges go all they way down to 6 and 7 year olds.

I, whole heartedly, disagree. Video games aren't the problem. Parents are the problem. Period. This country has a parenting problem.
Secondly, school shootings started when prayer was taken away from schools.

I'm going with the video games line of reasoning. Should prayer have been taken out of school to the degree it has? No. But I am 60 years old and we never had prayer in school when I was in elementary school. School shootings did not become a problem until much later. Some kids are left on their own these days with a Playstation as a babysitter. I think it is the glorification of killing and the absence of moral instruction that does it.

I told the people I was watching the game with that Beamer should pull him out immediately and ban him for the first half of the next game which is the same penalty that targeting carries. Lo and behold he did it again a few minutes later- not as noticeable or as pronounced but he did again when he shouldn’t have been in the game.

This whole celebration and flexing deal has gotten way out of hand. I saw in

a college game Sat night, a guy made a routine tackle, and stood over the guy flexing. He had tackled the guy on about the five yard line, and his team (tackler) was losing by about three touchdowns at the time, about to make it four when the other team got that last five yards.
I wished I could telepath to the guy on the ground and have him say "Hey, look at where I am, and the scoreboard, you duma$$ fool!"
And, I don't know when it happened, but seems like a whole bunch of players have been PROGRAMMED to do these gun celebrations. It's like they cannot help themselves.
OK, rant over, except, Get.Off.My.Lawn. BANG!

all these kids know. I can’t remember which team I saw on the highlight show a player was dry humping repeatedly after scoring a touchdown. It’s the little things that’s starting to make me lose my passion for college football. I still like it but when there’s so much you just have to tolerate it makes me a little sad.

I'm not at all a fan of the vast majority of pre-planned celebrations. It's one thing for a player to engage in some sort of spontaneous celebration, but a choreographed response? It's there only to try to gain infuvidual attention while playing a team sport.

Showboating has been occurring for a long, long time,

so I attribute that type of act to the mindset in our youth of today, regardless of its classlessness.
I recall sitting in DV, when Danny Ford was there, watching our own fellows acting out after successful plays and thinking, "A little less shaking your asssses, and a lot more concentration on your jobs, if you don't mind!"
Trash talk is one thing and to be expected; visible acts of trashiness have no place on the gridiron, and if they occur repeatedly, then that's a failure of coaching, which the AD has to address.

Who knows if he did it the whole game every time he made a play?
This wasn't a spur (no pun intended) of the moment decision to celebrate like this. He obviously had it planned for a while.
