deafening silence

Does anyone know why there is zero rumors coming out about what the ACC plans are? You read all about BIG10 rumors, Notre Dame rumors, BIG12 rumors, PAC12 rumors. Teams rumored to be moving to other conferences. Conferences raiding with conferences. And then the ACC....... nothing. If the ACC isn't trying to be pro-active they for sure will fall apart. Either ACC teams might be raided or more likely the available teams that might have some value will have already protected themselves and announced they are moving to new conference.

There are "rumors" that Clemson, Miami, and FSU

will bolt for another conference. That rumor is as feasible as any out there right now.

I think it's because of the Grant of Rights. Maybe each school is waiting on the other school to make the first move. If one leaves (testing the grant of rights) the others may follow.

was hoping more for news that the ACC was going to try and save itself and grow to improve their chances of survival. You would think they would want to add some schools to the conference to stay afloat instead of seeing their teams looking to leave.

The ACC office is silent because it's watching it's own death unfold in slow motion. Going to be sad picking up the pieces for those left behind as the big brands exit the conference.

Rumors just to get clicks were out celebrating July 4th. Relax they’re back to “work” now and the sewage will be flowing any minute.

If the below happens the ACC is done. They will not get any schools worth anything to draw from.

It sounds like the Ducks and Huskies could be tired of waiting. The latest report suggests the Big 12 wants to add six Pac-12 schools: Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado.

It's worth noting things can change at any given moment. But it's looking more and more like the Big 12 and Pac-12 will soon merge and form a third megaconference, including the likes of programs like Oregon, Washington, Utah and the obvious Big 12 schools like Oklahoma State and Baylor.

Everyone is waiting on ND which currently feels “no sense or urgency” according to their AD. ND along with Clemson, are the two best teams left to move. Hopefully we do move being left behind. We can’t trust the ACC to proactively do anything, and if the do, a better chance to be a bassackwards move.
