Dabo's comments this week

I think Dabo has given the best response a coach can given the scenario we are in; just hear me out. I don't live down there anymore and I hate being so removed from the pulse of this team, but is it general consensus that we still have a top 10 roster based on talent? Top 15 at least, right? If there is disagreement on this I will definitely listen.

We just gave up in a late season game. We're no longer in control of our primary objective because we wanted it less than Louisville on November 2nd. Louisville lost control of their main objective a month ago but found some grit and beat our ### anyway. They could end up snagging a warm weather bowl and some positive momentum going into 2025. Are we capable of that right now? That's a legit question that I would value tnet feedback on.

But I say that Dabos comments are spot on because a character overhaul can't happen mid season. Fixing what I call someone's GIVE-A-SH*T meter has to be done well before week 1, you know? So until the big issues can be addressed, we need to at least finish the season like Clemson Men. We got our ### kicked last weekend but we just need to say you should see the other guy and forget about it right now. There's still enough season to creep up on an overrated SEC team in a mid level bowl and have plenty to brag about. Just my opinion and maybe I appreciate them more being farther away, but I still believe baby!

I still call it coaching issues.

The past few years we get manhandled by lesser recruits and superior coaching.

Our D line at UGA would be eating people alive; and we can’t get one sack on Louisville?

Our best players are usually freshmen; because they are still playing off their high school coaching and haven’t been ruined by coaches with zero experience.

DW and TL were smart enough to get outside QB coaching during the off-season. Receivers are only a shell of years past. And the whole team looks slow and weak.

I really don't like reading that as a response to something I posted lol. I appreciate the honesty; why are our receivers down? From what I can tell they are just as highly regarded recruits as our golden age WR were.

We got more than we bargained for from two top QBs in a row and they stayed healthy. We then got less than we bargained for from two top QBs in a row. How much would be different if our QBs panned out even as advertised? Would most of these other issues quiet down?

There's no doubt Brent Venables would've shut down Louisville***

To push back a bit, how did Nick Eason all of a sudden become a poor developer of talent or a coach that will have defensive lineman?

Most any coach in the country would have taken Eason as their d-line coach, and Rumoh has always been regarded as one of the top line coaches in the southeast.

It’s all very odd. Clemson, even in the 90’s always had that stud 6-4 250 end with 10. + sacks

You're exactly right; it's all really odd. I look down the roster and don't see how we struggle in so many areas. I was really excited for so many of these kids to run down that hill.

Nope. Zero depth.

Coaching is the catch-all here by default

I think the team just had a ##### day. So many things went wrong that it feels like a bad strike of lightening. I doubt that same team could show up again. But I won’t be surprised if they do. But coaching is the catch-all for that level of failure.

I’ll watch the game Saturday and see how it goes. Same amount of hesitancy as I had after the offensive break-out against App St. Time will tell.

I’d still like to see a bunch of coaches replaced at the end of the season. But that’s carry-over from last year’s resentment. I’m not holding my breath.
