I have voiced my frustration and feelings over DJ and the offense or lack there of just as much as anyone. But after all is said and done I don’t think Dabo Swinney owes me or any other fan anything. He owes his team in that locker an explanation as to why they didn’t go to Cade sooner. But he doesn’t owe us anything, he has given this university and its fans so much in his 15 years. He’s 161-38 the highest winning percentage of any coach in Clemson football history, only 4 wins behind Frank Howard and 100 losses I’m half the time. 11 bowl wins, that’s more than Howard and Ford combined, 8 conference championships, 2 national championships and 4 national championship game appearances. I think he is loyal to a fault and cares more about his players than he does wins and losses. He cares what type of men his players become and getting them an education. In my opinion he has earned the right to decide what happens with his program and he seems to be fine with the results of his decisions win or lose. He has shown his players that he puts his trust in them and will give them every opportunity to succeed. I appreciate Coach Swinney and all he’s done and accomplished and he deserves our trust and respect and a whole lot of leeway.

As long as his players and coaches love and respect him. I was out of sorts with his sticking with DJ but I’m just a fan. I’m over it. But please, please use the portal this year.
We need 2 DL, 2 edge rushers, 2 outside receivers.
That’s six players Santa!

Not so fast, my friend. Why do you think FB teams even exist? Why do FB stadiums have thousands of seats? Who fills those seats? Why does TV broadcasters give billions of dollars to conferences for TV rights to broadcast games? Who is watching those tv games?
Without fans, sports are really irrelevant. So, yes, Dabo does owe fans more than lies about a QB not being ready when our eyes say differently.

Nah. He doesn’t owe me anything. He’s given far more than anyone ever expected. Way more good than bad. Second fastest to 160 wins. You won’t find a better coach in college football!! He may be stubborn and bull headed. But he cares and the kids he brings in care and they know he cares. I’ll take 10-2, 11-2, 12-2 or whatever year after year. He’ll take Clemson back to the National title and playoffs.
Don’t forget the Ken Hatfield and Tommy West and Tommy Bowden era.

He doesn't owe me anything Junk Yard (supposedly) Tiger. So speak for yourself. I have been going to games since 1974 in the same seats and obviously an IPTAY member since then. And there were football games at Clemson long before admission was charged (Bowman Field).

NOBODY makes the playoffs every year let alone win national championships.
It's really stupid to suggest Dabo "lied" to people.
Every single year, there are true freshmen who aren't ready the day they set for on campus. Players typically get more accustomed to P5 football as a their 1st year progresses.
Cade Klubnik is no different.
