Can anyone take the time to explain the new rules on how the clock works in college. On numerous drives Phil ran out of bounds and the clock continued to run. The clock didn’t stop on first down either which I understand but the out of bonds thing really made no sense. It’s like the only time the clock stopped was during a timeout or if we threw an incomplete pass. I also posted a few days ago but does anyone know who we have in our coaches box? All of our coaches seeem to be on the sideline.

It only stops during the last two minutes remaining of each half.

Not sure about coaches in the booth.

...OR when ESPN says so they can air another 3 minute commercial. I knew when they said there would be a "running clock" to shorten the game, have less plays to cut down on injuries was bullcarp. The actual "play time" is less but the "game/broadcast time" is still the same...

One of Einstein's lesser known theoretical equations (AKA The ESPN Law...AGT-APT= MCT (Actual Game time Less Actual Play Time Equals More Commercial Time).
