The Action Network's Brett McMurphy posted his AP Top 25 ballot (full vote released next Monday), and he has Clemson just outside the CFP tier.

He ranks Clemson 13th, which is second-best in the ACC behind Miami at No. 8. FSU is No. 15 and Virginia Tech is No. 24 to round out ACC teams.

His Top 5 is Oregon, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas and Alabama.

Who knows? Our guesses are just as good as the media experts. I didn't see anyone in the preseason last year ranking Missouri in the top 25 (they finished 8) or the real USC to finish outside the top 25 after consensus top 10 preseason rankings. These clowns have to have something to write about in early August and justify a paycheck.

How many spots does Clemson jump if they pull an upset ?

TD or more win is worth 10 spots

A one point victory is still a huge upset and worth 5-8 spots . Something to chew on.

Probably only 1 spot! Georgia will still be #2 or #3. They will state if ETN didn't have to sit the first play, then they are the far better team.

fire the last couple of years, especially last year. I can't really fault the voters for being in a "Show me you are back" mode before they move us up.
