We have been favored in 18 of these games. Our record in games that we are favored is 15-3. Our 3 losses came to Memphis (-6.5) in OT, USC (-1.5) in OT, and GT (-12.5) at home in OT.
We have been the underdogs in 5 games this season. We are 3-2 in those games. We lost to Boise State (+3), and Louisville (+4) and beat Penn St. (+1), Kenticky (+1) and Pitt (+3)
To those complete morons that think we have been inconsistent, or we always lose to teams that we shouldn't.......
Try watching college basketball other than Clemson sometime. You will see that favored teams lose a lot. Your expectation is perfection at this point. Brownell is not allowed to lose a game that he we are favored in, but the games that we win as a dog are overlooked. Our fanbase is beyond pathetic.

You failed to mention the scoring droughts, the ill advised chunk shots with time running out after having the ball for 20 seconds, leaving TO's on the board that could have been used to set up a possible winning drive to the basket.

You failed to mention that every team has scoring droughts, turnovers, and take shots at the end of the shot clock.
Expecting a basketball team to be perfect is very dumb.

Thanks Mountaineers for a voice of maturity, reason and intelligence. There will always to losses by favored teams and there is absolutely nothing a coach can do or there would be undefeated teams every year. To win, a team has to take care of the ball (turnovers), shoot well and rebound, rebound, rebound.

No one expects Clemson basketball to always win the games in which we are favored. But it is reasonable to say that if we want national regard and respect for the program we can't lose to sub-.500 scrubs like the coots or GT, ESPECIALLY when we have the home-court advantage.
If you can't understand that then you need to be more judicious about throwing around terms like "complete moron"; because that might just blow back in your face.
So lighten up, Francis. We've seen this movie before with Brownell. Hopefully this time he can pull the miracle out of his *** and beat great team. That would sure help.

Georgia tech has some good young talent. They have had a ton of injuries this year. Their leading scorer was out the first time we played them. They are healthy now and playing much better. They just beat louisville and now us. We were a 1.5 point favorite vs usc. To say that we cant lose as 1.5 point favorites if we want national respect is insane.

I love our team and I'm happy to keep Brownell tho a few years ago I was ready to jump ship. That said he is not a good end of game coach. He has proven that time and time imo.

I want to see our program match, and even slightly improve, on last year’s season. I believe that it would turn more heads and hopefully garner more high school recruit attention (portal as well).
Fully understand that sports like basketball and baseball drop more games because players having an off night or the other team is hot. Just disappointed in dropping a few to teams with a losing record due to reason stated above.
Oh well. Flush it and push forward.

I would never refer to our fans as "morons" or "beyond pathetic". Yes, there are some unreasonable fans like in every fan base in the country, and some that are not very educated about a particular sport, but your name calling says way more about you than it does about our incredible fan base. Go Tigers!
