Clemson reached the Elite Eight last season, returned two all-league-caliber players and added two high-major starters -- yet it entered the season with surprisingly little buzz. One month in, however, it's clear the Tigers are a top-four team in the ACC and should get back to the NCAA tournament. Ian Schieffelin is making a case as the nation's top rebounder; he grabbed 20 boards against Kentucky and has at least 13 rebounds in four straight games.

That entire "ranking" looks like a mess. Not just Kentucky. Auburn also loses yet moves up? Tennessee jumps up 12 spots to #1? What could these teams possibly have in common???

Nah, these are just the power rankings. Bball very similar to baseball in the early season. Based on potential and many different metrics. Pre-season is what got us... not being ranked.

19 is fantastic and once we start blowing past the acc teams, we'll make some big jumps. Big game with Memphis, Miami and the coots should all be Ws.
