All I see on the board are negative posts. We are first in the ACC, and have a good chance of going 15-5 if 14-6 on the ACC. Who knows, if we beat UNC this upcoming weekend, we could do better than that!
We have lost to a good WF team on the road when we didn't have chase hunter or Hemenway.
We lost to BC on the road when we were without brevin Galloway and it was hemenway's first game back.
We lost to Miami at home when we were back to full strength.
We are not going to win them all. This season has been great so far! We need to finish strong like I know we can.

I’m very disappointed in the losses this week but I do remind myself that we were projected 11th and still sit at the top of the ACC. Also, this is the best class of recruits I’ve seen in years which is to BB’s credit. They have been fun to watch. So there is reason for optimism going forward. For the fire BB crowd, give it a break - won’t happen after this season so spare us!

I think the problem with "fans" is we don't trust this coaching staff or this team. It took 12 years to reach this point. Every mediocre or outright bad year was allegedly the stepping stone to the next GREAT year...but that GREAT year never came. Or, it was injuries.
Other teams get injuries.
I've tried to watch this team. Honestly, it often seems like we have four players and the opposition has six. I would go so far as to say a couple of the victories were luck.
Some of you don't like to hear: The ACC is so weak this year. Example given, the UNC vs DUKE game last night was only the third time in HISTORY that the two teams have met with both being unranked. I can't comment on UVA only to say that the two times I have watched them were both losses. There are a couple of stinkers in the conference. We lost to one of them. The middle of the pack is where we are headed. Point to a great victory over a GREAT team and I'll look at it differently.
Your argument does not work in football. It didn't work in baseball. I wonder why it is acceptable in basketball?

Much like its been hard for SEC teams to out-recruit and outplay Bama, UGA in football for a few **years, its been hard for ACC teams to out-recruit/outplay Duke and UNC basketball for a few **decades.
Thats why I think reasonable people look at the basketball program a little differently than the football program.

Thanks for making a positive post. At times they become unbearable.
This is the hardest working team that I can remember.
Really good players who leave nothing on the floor.
A full week to get ready for the Heels. A tough place to play but.... Tigers have a winning streak in Chapel Hill..

Those mid 90’s teams of Barnes’ would destroy this team in effort and almost everything else.
Dang, Purnell’s teams are without a doubt the hardest working teams ever on a basketball court at Clemson (unless you count some of the intramural teams I played with or against). Unrelenting full court press all game long.

You got that right, they constantly #### all over the football team and Dabo for anything they deem wrong but cry like babies whenever the same is done to the basketball team.

Why do people care what we were projected preseason? So we were picked 11 and are doing better than that. That’s reason for excitement? It should be embarrassing to be picked 11.
What if we finish 5th…is that success? If we were picked 2 and finished 3, is that worse than picked 11 and finished 5?

I question whether there are really very many basketball fans. All the football fans with unrealistic expectations carry over to basketball and those sports are apples and oranges. There was great expectation for football last fall and it only partially worked out and some would we failed. There was almost no expectation for basketball and we have far exceeded that. Why can't we just be Clemson fans and support our teams regardless of what team is playing? Playing the blame game is for kids and losers.

I think you are right. I have been to many empty games in past seasons. The people sitting around me in LJ dont seem to understand the plays or the calls at all.
Meanwhile in DV everyone understands the finest nuance of plays and can call better plays than the coaching staff. They can explain all the finer points of pass interference or other complicated calls.
Could be not enough people are really interested. Its a shame. I love this blue collar team. They try hard. They play hard. They deserve support win or lose. I have loved the support the past few weeks. It has been so fun to be in a full stadium. I hope we can keep it up till the end.

leadership - he just stands there with his arms folded.
Pulling like mad for the TEAM (which includes the coach) - but after 13 years of the same ol, same ol - albeit with a better record - RIGHT NOW - than other years . . . . . it's the same freaking mess, we've seen it all before.

I would love to beat unc this weekend and continue a new streak in chapel hill. Im fine with not winning them all. I just want to stay in the top 4 so we get the double bye in the acc tournament.
Our net score is a concern. We need to be in the 50s to make tournament. Beating unc would help a lot!
