Clemson - USC final thoughts.

OK, despite what half of this board might think, I love Clemson. I’ve been a fan since my Grandpop turned on the 1981 championship game and watched it with me. I was eleven, and my granddad only seemed to share his stories fighting the Japanese in WWII on his sub, the USS Tambor, with me. He was a Master Chief and widely respected. He signed up for the war at 16. Back then, America was NOT divided. So listen, do not come at me with this "Coot" talk. I am honest with myself, wrong or right. My love for my grandad and Clemson are synonymous.

This game is big. I watched some full games—Texas A&M and Alabama—and highlights of many others. I am not "scared," and that stupid phrase echoed by some is just meant to divide us. My grandfather was scared in his sub being bombarded with depth charges. Scared is the acknowledgment of a fierce opponent, and the Japanese were fierce. What I have learned traveling the world is that Japanese culture is steeped with honor, and they are hard-working, hard-fighting, but they were on the wrong side.

This game, my friends, will be a war. They have great DEs that will challenge every bit of what our OL can prove. Their running game with Sellars and Sanders will be a challenge. Wade and the defense must play disciplined, and our DL, with Capehart and Woods, has to lock in on lane and gap integrity. Can our offense find ways to break through? Can we dominate the trenches like Tigers do?

But here's the thing: We are Clemson. We are the standard. This rivalry doesn’t just belong to the players on the field—it belongs to us. The fans. The family. And guess what? This one is in our house. It’s Death Valley, baby. It’s time to remind everyone why it’s one of the most feared places in college football. It’s time to make it so loud they can’t hear themselves think. It’s time to show what happens when the Clemson family comes together—united, loud, and proud.

So, to all my fellow Tigers: this is our moment. Let’s rise to the occasion. Let’s pack our pride, our grit, and our resolve, and take this rivalry head-on with everything we’ve got. When the whistle blows and the sun shines on this game, remember who we are. Remember what we stand for. And remember that no matter the challenge, Clemson Tigers never back down.

We’ll see you at Death Valley. Go Tigers!

Pretty sure Capehart won’t be available according to my sources. Sorry to be a Debbie downer. I am worried due to our lack of run defense but I am hoping our coaches finally coach their best game of the year for four quarters and we come out on top.

I'm not talking about football I'm talking about war. Fear is present with even the brave, in fact, bravery is the product of fear and without fear bravery is stupidity or ignorance.

For bravery is the overcoming of fear brought about by the love of God, family, country or something lesser important in life.

I have no fear about football. What I might have is a bit of anxiety which without it lessens the value of the event. Anxiety yields excitement and we're all excited to see our Tigers run down the hill and bring our best friend fear to the hearts of those coots who dare enter Death Valley knowing the ride home is going to be a lot longer than the ride to Clemson.

Take heart, most of them will be gone before the 3rd quarter ends. It's a long way home and they know it!

Comparing a football game to a war is extremely over dramatic and quite honestly an insult to all who went to war.

I’ll be in section C doing our part making all the noise we can as always. Where are you sitting? Hope you will be making your section loud as well.

Are you seriously comparing the game tomorrow with WWII?

What are you smoking? And can I have some before you put it out?
