Car Lover's Challenge

Jul 7, 2021, 4:21 AM

It's not every day that a car adds a word or phrase to the English language, but these cars did. It simply means "the best" or "the most extraordinary", or "top shelf". Now, some may challenge that but I don't care. As was said in Liberty Valance, "When the legend becomes the fact, print the legend." And oh, they were expensive. Sometimes costing $20,000 at a time when a doctor pulled in less than $3,000 a year. Here are the guys who made them.

But can you really put a price on these sexy beasts?

What was the name of the car manufacturer, or the phrase, or both?

a few years back. The fit and finish of a Duesenberg is really unbelievable, beautiful vehicles. Dare I say they are still a finer automobile than even a modern Ferrari or Lambo.

I'm not sure when the Duesenberg Froot Loop was produced, but it feels like a later model to me
