We really needed him to come back if we wanted to be a top 20-30 Defense next year.

He’s huge for the depth chart forsure I hope he’s healthy because he didn’t do much of anything when he was nursing injury but I’m excited for Amare Adams I expect him to get Peter woods type of reps out of the gate

If Burley gets fully healthy he might have a say there. He was killing it in camp his freshman season until the injury.

Indeed, it was obvious when watching V.Burley play this past season that he was having problems with mobility. That contributed to him being off balance and therefore of minimal effectiveness.

I’d love to see him get healthy and show out.

Back to Capehart. He was also clearly impaired after getting injured (was it Louisville?) in mid-season, although he was still able to contribute by occupying opponent O-lineman after he had recovered to some degree.

These cases of intermediate grade injuries illustrate the importance of quality depth if we are to have a dominant defense in 2025 season. As already suggested in this thread, Amare Adams might indeed become a major contributor at the beginning of next season.

Burley ,Capehart, Adams, and Wood s at DT should be pretty formidable. I like a 4-3 D.

If he is healthy this season, this will be a huge pickup for us this coming season. Welcome back Demonte!

We needed his size and strength back in the middle, I kinda hope Woods drops some weight more around 295-300. He seemed alil heavy around that 315 mark and didn't have the same acceleration as his Fr year. Either way, we'll have a really solid Front next year.

He’ll need to stay healthy, which has been an issue for him. We need Burley as well. He’s had a hard time staying healthy.
