were all Dabo's fault. Some will still think that until we fire Dabo and hire someone who has some great experience like having won conference championships and having some playoff appearances and maybe a Natty or two.

The only thing Dabo did wrong is play the guy for as long as he did, but he had put so much time and effort into the kid, so I can see why he started him as long as he did

The reality is, there’s no uniformity from player to player, from school to school, from collective to collective with all of these NIL contracts.

Some kids will be paid at the beginning of the season. Some will be paid during the season. Some will be paid at the end of the season. Some paid at multiple times. It all depends on what you negotiate. Not many kids and parents have experience negotiating the commercial terms of a contract.

One of our current starters was offered $1 million in the off-season by another team. Yes, tampering. But the funny thing is the $1 million was to be paid over 20 years. Absolutely hilarious.

So, to answer the original question, depending on how the contract is worded, yes maybe the NIL collective and the boosters can just refrain from paying.
