I am definitely a Scotch man. Tend towards the almond honey type noted Scotches, but I do like some of the Irish whiskies, and for a $30 bottle BM Black Bush is a very nice whisky.

My go to is Oban for single malts. I like Aberlour as well. Not really into the peaty stuff.

Peat is what I love, hence Islay Scotches

started with Ardbeg 10 about 20 years ago and never looked back. The first bottle of Laphroiag was a mind blower. I have been stocking up on Kilchoman lately (2 new bottles lol) but they are sitting in the cabinet looking at me unopened. Soon, very soon, I will get to toast the birth of my 3rd grandson and one of those will be the prize.
