Biden announces plan to curb inflation

Calm, yet demanding, President Biden addressed the nation today, laying out a course to punish Big Meat, Big Veggie, Big Tire, Big Pharma and Big Bend (which some have taken as a threat to the famous clock tower in London), for gouging customers flush with unearned cash while employing little unionized labor.

"It's not fair!" declared the President, squinting confidently into a teleprompter, "It's not fair to the hardworking people of Scranton and Starbucks and Sweden and Swa-- Swazi-- you know, that other place. It's not fair to the engineers and landscapers who stock our shelves, or the doctors and nurses who grow our food. And today, I'm announcing a plan to curb inflammatory measures by forty percent over the next two physical quarters."

Many in congress hailed the plan, among them Maxine Waters (D-California) who called it "visionary", but some dissented, including Tim Scott (White Supremacist, SC), who referred to it as "less than understandable". One month into an election year, hopes run high that the proposal can be implemented, but with President Biden deferring all questions to President Harris, who wasn't in attendance at the time, it remains to be seen if such a noble pursuit can be taken up as legislation.
