Interesting post. I was just thinking if a Fla booster could contribute a million is it better spent on coach buy out or NIL

during an election year when the party in office, that just happen to be one of the absolute worst administrations in US history, needs to throw some free money at folks in a desperate attempt to secure more votes.

Yeah, I remember when Trump did that back in 2020. They even put his name on the checks.

No, the stimulus checks they sent out back in 2020. I assumed that's what you were talking about. Most of the people who had their loans qualified for the PSLF program by working in public service jobs, so it wasn't really free money, and illegal immigrants can't vote and have never voted in significant numbers.

A 'public service job' is not what qualified them. The likelihood of voting Democrat is what qualified them. They got their taxpayer funded jobs with no condition of having the taxpayers pay off their student loans, like say, going to medical school and agreeing to spend several years in a rural area that had a shortage of doctors. The student loan bailout went to people who, for the most part, took out a loan, went to school and got a degree in nothing useful and then spent the next 10, 20 or 30 years not paying off their loan. In other words, poor life choices. I concede some had hardship (debilitating illness) and could not pay, but most simply did not want to take on the responsibility of applying themselves and the sacrifices that it requires to earn enough to pay off their legitimate and legally binding debts.

The PSLF program has been around since George W. Bush signed it into law back in 2007, so anyone who recently applied for forgiveness had reason to believe they would be eligible for it when they took their loans out. You have to make at least 120 payments on your student loans to qualify.

And how would you know that? Since many states do not require ID's and issue DL's to illegals. Get real, in blue states they vote everywhere.

I’m pretty sure every administration since Regan has been finding new and exciting ways to lower the bar of “worst” administration. It’s like it’s a pissing contest between the two parties to see who can throw the worst possible person out there and see if they win
That gives me an idea though, DJU should portal to the White House, he has a clear track record of burning things to the ground and making people question all their life choices, probably the only way to fix that cesspool up in DC 😂

Hopefully market forces will tamp down this crazy stuff. When stadiums fail to fill and red ink begins to rise, somebody will eventually get the message.
