So what “support” the basket ball program did have is now being driven away by Brad Brownell?

I only go to 4 or 5 games a year, has nothing to do with their record or coach but because I live over 3hrs away. Much like zmorris I bleed Orange. You are a Clemson supporter or your not, it's pretty simple. If zmorris would get his @, his name would look much better,

Sadly, it might get postponed... Which would be ashamed because it's as close to a gimmie as we'll get. It'd get us out of the 1-4 January slump and perhaps give us confidence going to Duke next week.

Some people support win or lose. What you described are fair weather fans, or bandwagoners. I still support the basketball team and wish they’d win ever game they played. However I’ve lost all confidence in the head coach.

i'll be there w/ my son. this will be our first game this season... probably our last, too. it's just something to do.. i'll cheer em on.. and hope they win.. but, if they lose, i won't care too much. and, that is the sentiment of 90% (prob more) of clemson fans. and, that's why we'll never be really good and consistent at b-ball. it's just not a priority. go to duke and see how heartbroken their fans are when they lose a football game. there are a few schools that are good at both.. unc and ky seem to be really good at b-ball and so-so at football, sometimes hitting a stride of being "good", but nothing sustainable.. but, most pour all their eggs into one basket... and, that's what clemson does.
when clemson football suffers, the stands are still full (enough).. but, when basketball suffers, it's pretty much a free ticket cause hardly anyone shows up. when the fans don't care, it's really hard for the administration to care.. cause they know what butters their bread, and basketball ain't it.

Spot on. And you have a few like JK that is passionate about bball and wouldn't be dissapointed if we were like Duke. That's ok too but as you stated, that ain't Clemson. Still, I agree with most, we can and should do better.
Personally, I'm passionate about all Tiger sports as most Clemson fans are. As for admin support, I would argue against what judge Keller says on it not being supported. He uses raw numbers on how much Clemson spends as opposed to a Duke, Texas, Ohio st etc... But the real number to use is percent of revenue, and that number is actually pretty darn high considering our public school revenue.
