Am I wrong? Can football offer partial schollies like other sports?

Why wouldn't Dabo offer his kids, coaches kids, friends and other walk-ons a partial schollie. Dabo could give Drew and his Daniel HS buddy Brown a half schollie and obviously Dabo can afford paying for half a schollie. Since he loves to bring on all the above players and suck up 10 schollies a year for up to 6yrs recently but normally 5yrs obviously, but why not offer half schollies. Get 10 players for 5 schollies and I am sure these recruits can find other schollies to offset cost, plus they would get all the perks of meals, Tudors, health and training as full schollie kids.
Or is that not allowed in college football? If not, why would that be available in every sport except football? I think it should be fine unless the player is trying to be dual sport and using half from other sport. Therefore since not allowed exchange now, half schollies should not be allowed.
Just a thought and only way I don't see this being offered is because NCAA says "NO"? But why not?

There are no partial scholarships in football, men's basketball and women's basketball.

Absolutely great question that has been answered. If a guy signs to play baseball and football, that is (by rule) assigned as a football scholarship.

Also, when walk-ons are awarded full schollies, it is usually for one year at a time, so it is partial in its duration. This is pretty uniform in the industry. Not saying Stetson Bennett, Hunter Renfrow or Baker Mayfield weren’t exceptions, but the Drew Swinney/Will Browns of the world are.

All scholarships are 1 year designated just like financial aid. Doesn’t matter if you are a 5 star or a walk on earning the scholarship. Goal is to use all 85 each year. As stated above can only be full scholarship.
