Adding/subtracting ACC teams

I would be perfectly fine with the ACC voting to allow Stanford and Cal leave with a GOR waiver. They would be a much better fit in the PAC, and would save everyone the excess cross country travel.
I’m fine with SMU and the Texas market they bring, and perhaps bring on Memphis (I know that may be frowned on).

Wunder if the Big12 would do a straight up trade ... SMU for WVU

Then convince ND that they increase their odds of making the CFP by joining the ACC ...
(Conference Champ & At Large vs. At Large only)

lol, Yall will never let the ND thing go. What will it take to figure out ND has zero interest in joining in football and they have everything they want including a comfy new football deal with NBC.

I agree there is no reason for ND to join in football. I also wish that the ACC would tell them to take the rest of their sports and go to independent land.

None of the above.

The 3 new ACC teams are locked into the GOR.

ND's best playoff chance is to stay independent and not rush losing a conference championship game.

Why would we want WVU? Another horrid road game?

B/c it makes regional sense.. SMU makes no sense every. Cal and Stanford as well

It makes perfect sense. New works, new works order.

The only regional conference that's really successful is the SEC. They just expanded farther into the Midwest .

Big 10 - Coast to Coast
AAC - Atlantic to West Texas
Big 12 - Atlantic to Arizona and Utah

Those are national or multi regional footprints.

There is zero reason for the ACC to avoid doing the same.

The early returns look good, with Cal beating Auburn on the Plains.

WVa would be a better road game than SMU, Cal, and Stanford.

I'd like to see APP State move to the ACC, I think it would improve their recruiting and raise the level of competition eventually.

ECU has some good fans, I was actually thinking of them on the fringes. Hard to believe we have never played them.

No real TV market, NC already saturated with ACC teams.

I enjoy visiting Boone but I believe App State is part of the UNC system and I am not sure I want more of that in the ACC if we might stay.

I can see your point, but I think APP does have their own unique identity.

Makes about as much sense as adding Gardner-Webb and Lenoir Rhyne.
