Brownell better earn next year’s paychecks. He was out coached, and it should be unacceptable.

After sleeping on it, it still feels lousy. Our guys just weren’t making anything in the first half and then were making most everything very late in the game.

Had we shot just a little better in the first half we would have won.

The problem whether we eked out a win or lost by a score that absolutely didn’t reflect the overall game,was our guys showed up flat and no real adjustments were made until very late.

It’s on Brownell to have the guys fired up, ready to play and it’s on him to change course when things aren’t working.

His solution/ “We got to make some 3s.”

I’ve been ready for Brad to go for a long time. There was no way to justify firing him after the Final Eight run. There was no way to justify firing him after our regular season run, but for crying out loud, giving him a 6 yr extension before the season concluded was not wise in my opinion.

We’ve had 16 years of just enough to salvage his job year after year.

We need a young coach who has the fire to recruit better, who gets the guys fired up, and makes good in game adjustments.

That will not happen for the foreseeable future.

We’ve had 16 years to assess Brownell. Maybe by year 22, we’ll look back on the great patience shown to Brad as the smart play.

Unfortunately, that’s very unlikely.
