I will give them credit for being the only SEC team that voted to play OOC games in 2020. They wanted to play us.

I think you have misunderstood why they wanted to play OOC games. They needed the two cupcake wins to improve their record. It had nothing to do with playing Clemson.

Easy for them to vote for playing us when they knew that the overall vote was going to be SEC conference games only. Politics 101. Always vote to keep your constituents happy and make you look good if you know that it’s not going have consequences ( in this case they could vote in favor of playing OOC games Clemson while knowing they wouldn’t actually have to play Clemson).

“So, all conference slate this year, right? I mean, we have to do that, right? Ya know… it just means more, right? Of course! I’m all for it!!! Can’t we do this every year? The University of South Carolina would love for that to happen!!!”

Then day of vote…

“Y’all are gonna reveal the votes, right? Good! All for one and one for all! That’s how it’s got to be in the SEC! Glad it ain’t about politics in this conference or for me. Yessiree. Let me cast my vote real fast then off to handwash Dawn Staley’s cars. Can’t let them get dirty. She doesn’t like a dirty car. And her happiness is my #1 priority. Bye!”
