….but everything about Elliot’s demeanor, post game pressers, inability to change anything, bs excuses, etc - make me feel like dude is already on his way out. He seemingly has the attitude of an employee who’s handed in their own 2-week notice and subsequently, has kinda checked out.

Or maybe he just doesn't have a clue as to how to fix things; After all comments like "I have seen improvement in DJ, but I don't want to bench him because I don't want to disrupt his rhythm" or "I have to laugh to keep from crying" are not a part of what your seeing, or reading.
But here is a question for you; Is it not the job of the O.C to find ways to score points? Why else would he make the comment( I think it was in the press conference after the Syracuse game) " We need to score more points". Really!

Elliott has always seemed to be a low energy, uninspiring coach. It shows in his play calling.

OK why is he wrong?
I think it is more that things are changing around him faster than he is willing to change himself. At the same time, there seems to be some despair for this year. There have been remarks to the point that we are who we are. If we cannot change a dreadful offense, then why is that not mailing it in for the year?

The people who really know football, The coaches across America and the AD's think that Tony Elliot is a genius as a coach! He does have a track record that proves that he is a genius as a coach. His players seemed to be inspired by him. The only ones who thinks He does not know what he is doing are people on message boards who I am assuming are not coaches now or ever have been. ( Pee Wee does not count, Highschool Maybe)
The same people who say that's horrible play calling when he calls a run are the same ones that say Why did He call That pass.
He probably talks with the media in the manner He does because He knows nothing will satisfy some fans and they would not understand or admit that He was correct anyway.
He also may have been instructed by his Boss to answer in the manner that He does.
