It’s now been what 3 years since somebody from sc won the billion dollars in the lotto. I know it was claimed anonymously. Anybody on here ever learn who the person could be.

That was a rumor. It was actually a woman from the lower part of the state who was just passing through Simpsonville.

Yeah I did a little research and indeed I think you are correct. The lottery commission confirmed that the winner was an SC resident. All speculation was a BMW supplier employee. An annoying tidbit that 60 million was going to the SC education lottery with 10 million going to education!

Good for them to be able to remain anonymous. Often wondered how do you deposit that kind of money? Feel out a deposit slip and go through the drive through. Haha

No, but I had 5 Quick picks for Mega, guess what my first 4 numbers were in the strings?? 14!! The fist draw was 14! I can't post a pick but I was mad that Quick Pick gave me 14, four times in a row with QP, but then I was excited for 7 seconds. Got all my $ back plus I matched a couple other numbers but not $660m

A guy that worked for me, bought a 6-Pack and a quick pick one night. Then 15 minutes later he won $2.5 Million!
The next day he realized he had to pay the taxes and it was not enough to quit work……

To win at my age, it would be lump sum minus taxes. At least my would be happy for while until I do something that torques her off, which I am good at doing.

RJC… That makes sense. First thing I would definitely do is find some type of money manager that was honest. How hard could that be?

I thought it was a lady from North Carolina who was juts passing through or visiting. A friend of mine's parents used to own the store where the ticket was sold, but had sold it a couple of years earlier. I think the winning store owner got like 50K and they split it with their employees.

most folks realize what you actually take home. YOU DIVIDE BY 4. Say you win $2 million. You only get the full 2 mil if you agree to something like a 20 year annuity. If you want cash now, it's approximately half. So you get roughly 1 mil. Until the gubmint comes calling and takes half again. So you net about $500K.
