Zamir White

what would be his reasoning for picking Georgia over us?
1. They develop running backs better? Look at history of Georgia's running back.
2. Feaster/Etienne - How does Zeus feel about Feaster possibly and probably starting over him . Does he want to be a day 1 starter? Is this a factor?
3. O-line- heard Georgia had a good 17' class. Maybe he saw the big uglies they have and said," yep, I want to run behind these guys for a year"

The science of it all

So I believe Clemson led for Zeus at first. You all see that he is already friends with XT and Trevor, that means a lot. Nothing like not knowing anybody showing up to a new school.
Anyways like I said, believe Clemson led Zeus early on, then he visited Georgia. He liked Georgia more than he thought he would, and decided to go back multiple times in a short time frame to get a good look at it.
Comes to Clemson Spring game as a buisness deal. Didnt go on field, sat in stands with mom. Wonder if he even spoke to XT, Trevor, or any other recruits. ---Did not like feel like being persuaded ? Wanted to see by himself and with family if Clemson was the place for in ---no peers? And Before you say Zeus wasn't smiling in the pics with Dabo, realize he always smiles like that. - don't be rude-
Leaves Clemson after spring game(mind you there are rumors he and family were the last ones out), and heads straight to Georgia -to get a quick comparison while Clemson is still fresh in his mind.
So. After seeing the two schools both within hours-the question in young Zeus's head is-
How do the two schools stack up?
I'll leave you to answer, but I'll tell you this. The answer is easy, not even close.
Go tigers! CU in Atlanta!!

No sir, not new cars, not payments to mom, nothing like that. A guy of White's caliber knows he will likely be the starter by year 2 no matter where he goes. Let's just say there is a little something more and wait till the 27th of June.

Here is photo of Zamir on sidelines, (note brick wall behind him). I'm sure he talked to the other recruits.

I'd say #1, but UGA RB injury history has to be troubling

All there RBs seem to get hurt with serious injuries (particularly with the knee). We haven't had nearly that many injury problems at that position. Choice is about the only guy in the last 5+ years that's had a serious knee injury. Wayne almost never got hurt and we've even had undersized guys like Hot Rod make it the entire year as the starting RB.

Why would a running back like Zeus consider UGh? There are limited carries for RBs.
If you were a QB out of jawja (like Watson & Lawrence), would you rather be at Clemson or UGa? The clear answer is Clemson because you would have the opportunity to display your talents at Clemson.
If you were a wide receiver from anywhere, would you pick Clemson or UGa? Again, Clemson is the obvious answer. The coaches develop talent, and Clemson spreads the ball around to receivers. The way we toss the ball, three top tier receivers would still want to come to Tigertown in the same recruiting class because they know they will have the chance to shine.
That is not the same for running backs. At Clemson, one back has the chance to shine while the others are looking for carries. I agree that Wayne dominated the snaps the last few years because there wasn't a clear #2 back in the wings due to size, experience, or injuries. My guess is that we will see more RBs in each game this year, but it is reasonable for White to think about where he would get the most carries.
I admit I am biased and think he would do better as a Tiger (development, personal growth, and championships). And the dawgs do tend to run their backs into the ground. However, Mr. White has reason to weigh his decision. I hope that he picks orange and wears a CFP championship ring.

Honestly, I don't think the Etienne/Feaster situation, or playing time in general, has no bearings on his decision in the immediate future. UGA has 3 running backs that will be there in 2018 that will DEFINITELY be ahead of him.
Elijah Holyfield, Brian Herrien, and Deandre Swift will all be Juniors and Sophomores. Best case scenario is that he plays sparingly, or takes the 2nd or 3rd position.
However, the developmental aspect of UGA is strong. Then again, that was mostly under Richt. Kirby Smart hasn't proven himself to develop running backs YET. He kinda had 4 running backs, 2 of which will DEFINITELY play on Sunday, fall into his lap when arrived on campus as the HC.
I think some of it will come down to who will best facilitate and mold their offense around his strengths. My guess is that it will be Clemson, but UGA is a strong contender since they mostly just line up in the I formation and run sweeps and dives, and Eason only throws two routes. One of which is a quick slant and the other is throwing the ball as far as he possibly can, no matter if there is a receiver downfield or not. lol.
It won't take long for UGA to be back atop the SEC, so he may be weighing that as well. Hopefully he knows that Clemson isn't a flash in the pan.

When was UGa atop the SEC ? I can only remember a handful of years they won the SEC , none during the last decade and they have one fewer national championship trophies than does Clemson . Sure they've had some good running backs over there , but it wasn't in any way related to the new staff .
I think Zamir White should consider actual ability and results , compared to historical fallback talk .

I didn't say THE top team in the SEC. I said one of the top teams. Let's face it, it's the Bama show. However, it's been a trade off with UGA and UF for the east divisional winner for the last decade or so.
You also just agreed with me by saying that the RB's they have now have nothing to do with the current staff. Well, other than Deandre Swift.
I hate UGA, but they've had moderate success and there is no denying that.
AGAIN, I'm predicting Zamir to Clemson because it makes more sense for his overall career. Besides, UGA's facilities are crap! Haha.

I agree with the moderate success part . Under Richt . Heck , K-Smart looked confused and in over his head in his first year at the helm . No denying that UGa has historically been a pretty prominent team overall , but they have also always seemed to come up a little short even during their best runs with their best teams .

so far, and think we aren't good at developing highly talented RBs.
No way he looks at Feaster and is deterred at competing against him.

falling down. Plus, I expected him to actually contribute by the end of the year by maybe catching a couple of passes out of the backfield or maybe running a couple of times for a few yards.
I definitely wasn't over-expecting for one of the top RB recruits in the country.

You realize Feaster was second in RB rushing yards after Wayne Train and average 6 yards a carry.

Gallman developed pretty well and he was in no way as highly a recruited back as Feaster . Are you saying that elite backs have faltered under this staff's tutelage ? What about Spiller and Ellington ? They were very effective and both went into the NFL after Clemson . I think TF will be a great back , given time and opportunity to perform .
