All the deeps on the board who'd rather be right about our early season losses costing us a tournament appearance, then actually seeing us make the tournament.

given up hope on the season after David hood's article today (which fails to mention that last years 20 win team included a resume sporting one top 50 win), as opposed to the 3 we have.this year, road wins against 2 of those 3. We also only had one road ACC win last year.

People may feel that you post "hopeful" stories on here
Feb 15, 2015, 1:47 PM

trying to buy your way in to Tiger fans' good graces, while simultaneously stirring up a contingency not likely to reach the stated goal. You push unrealistic scenarios hoping some will buy into it, then revel when it comes up short, feigning disappointment on here and moving on to the next thing. That's my two cents anyway, and judging by your pulse I'd say that most are on to you.

Or I just believe that whatever the mind perceives and believes, it can achieve. Feel the same way about sports, and especially my teams. I'm sorry if that offends you. Oh, and Dancecard (whom Time Magazine felt compelled enough to publish an article on the accuracy of their predictions) feels othwrwise, in regards to what you've noted as my posting unrealistic scenarios/expectations to win over the hearts of the minority population on this board - positive Clemson fans who thumbs up inaightfully positive posts.

"And the fact that you believe that keepingscore . blogs .time is the same as "Time Magazine" highlights your inability to think critically ."
You've yet to conjure together an accurate post in any one of our dialouges. And the fact that you cling to the opinion of yourself as a man of only facts is laughable. Just because you hear the word fact being used by lawyers on detectives on CSI doesn't make your throwing your opinions and uninformed posts under the umbrella of "fact" any more believable.

Once again doesn't actually counter a single point. Just more gibberish. You pretend a blog is something that it's not. You pretend a writer is someone he is not. You cherry pick a single RPI website and dismiss literally dozens of others with similar track records that are different than you. It's nice to see that just about everyone (other than your other fake handles) is on to you at this point.

Then turns around starting threads about "we ' re" putting too much pressure on the team - when he is nearly the only one posting anything about the team still having the remotest chance. He never addresses any kind of facts presented in a rebuttable - just calls names then posts some unrelated fact"
Oh, and I have a bunch of different handles too, according to viztiz.

I just don't think we deserve a bid to be honest . If you lose to the likes of Winthrop , Gardner-Webb and Sakerlina you are probably second tier tourney material anyhow. Just how I feel on this subject , wrong or right.

Our best win to date is Arkansas.
Now if we win out and beat Duke and ND the I can see what you're saying.

Got 15 wins to consider, and if we win enough more

then the process will take care of itself. That's why sites such as the linked one are projecting us in. Not saying we're in today, but we can play our way in. As of today LSU, Arkansas, 7 ACC wins, etc.

"Such as the linked one"
Please find me a single other site that projects us anywhere near the bubble. I'll keep waiting. The site referenced above doesn't account for wild card conference champs at this point in the process, doesn't use the same RPI formula as the NCAA, and has Pitt and Colorado St, two locks unless they meltdown in the homestretch, as being left out for us. Nobody hangs their hat on their at large success percentage with 2 weeks to go in the season - everyone sets their picks after the tournaments. This "projection" is completely meaningless. What is meaningful is that we have 1) an 80+ RPI 2) no one with a 70+ RPI has ever made the tournament 3) only 4 teams with a 60+ RPI have ever made the tournament 4) we have scant opportunity to significantly improve our RPI relative to those teams around us.

You're apparently under the impression a close loss to a top 10 team cost us any chance, however, we absolutely can play our way in. Does it really matter how many sites say that or similar, or are you more concerned with arguing?

Because you implied more than one site projects us in and that isn't true. The link to a previous post explains clearly why I'm being hostile. The OP is a troll and you're feeding him.

What I implied was that we can play our way in. I'm not feeding anyone or anything, and for the love of God I hope it takes a lot more than something like this for you to get hostile in real life. Fact is, we absolutely can play our way in. Please settle down bubba. I'm not your enemy.

Of course we can play our way in. No conference tournaments have started yet. Literally every single team in the NCAA can still "play their way in." So I don't really see the point in stating that. If you mean that we can play our way in with no regard for the ACC tournament then we pretty much have to go 5-0 including a win at ND and Duke. Are you predicting that that is a likely outcome? If you want to qualify that the team needs to go 2-1 in the tournament then maybe 4-1 to end the regular season gets us in. Still not remotely likely. But, it we hadn't lost to Rutgers and Winthrop a 3-2 finish to the regular season and a 1-1 ACC tournament and we're probably dancing. So yes, the early losses still matter - no matter how much you, cletiger, or onedertroll say otherwise.

something. Your angst is misplaced and kind of scary actually. Same me the "everyone can play their way in" analogy because that's not the point here, and we don't have to win the dadgum ACC tournament to get in either. We have a shot of getting in, IF we win some key games along the way. And just for kicks and giggles you never saw me type that the early losses "don't matter". Of course they do, but they can still be countered out. That's the only point I'm trying to make and I thought it was perfectly obvious. I'm still not sure why you saw it fit to act like this is such a big deal and get all bent out of shape, but oh well. I do find it interesting however that the guy placing us squarely in (even though that's not my contention at all) has predicted 108 of 110 at-large bids over the last three years combined (98%).

and thanks a bunch for the time it took you to attempt to interject a loser mentality into Clemson's program and the true fans here who read your posts. Sad. Misery (usc jr fans) loves company. Unfotunately, you'll need to look elsewhere for losers similar to the coots to join you in your pity/loser/neg Nancy party.

As of now, I don't think Clemson gets in. Now,
with that said, it's possible. With 5 games left, I personally think you need to go 4-1 in that stretch, UNLESS*** U can make a run in the ACC tourn.
But hey, it's just another opinion.
In the end, I say we're headed to the NIT. But guess what.... I thought this was a huge rebuilding year, which they've already exceeded.
2015/16..... I think is goin' be better.

They get hung up on what Joe Lunardi thinks in his latest "Bracketology," and also like to be as negative as possible about Clemson basketball. It's sad, really.
We might not make the NCAA Tournament, but we definitely have a shot. Dance Card has proven to be the most accurate of all of the predictions, so I for one put a lot of stock in it.
With that said, we still have a lot of work to do. Next step, beat GT tomorrow night!

Coming to the defense of a coot troll isn't exactly being a good Clemson fan either. Onderkid thread stalked me and made it personal all because I stated my opinion weeks ago (correctly in hindsight) that we had almost no chance of making the NCAA. That doesn't make be a bad fan. Pragmatic at worst. So, I'm repaying the favor. so what the hell is your problem? We haven't had any beef. Did it occur to you to even peruse the thread or did you just feel like jumping down my throat and teaming up with the obvious troll.
