Youtube TV for sports

Sep 29, 2018, 10:16 PM

Got tired of espn app freezing up, got tired of charter spectrum and balcked out games.

Youtube tv is awesome, can watch anywhere from my devices and never lags or freezes.
40 bucks a month no contract or agreement...

Highly recommend for those who dont want cable or sat.

If you use DVR, PS Vue is much better

I've tried them all - DTVNow, YouTubeTV, Hulu Live TV, etc. - and PlayStation Vue is the best. 60 fps on every channel, and on all recordings. And all recordings are able to be fast-forwarded through commercials - something you can't always do on YouTube TV. And you get 5 streams. You can find a free 14 day trial online. Highly recommend it for sports and everything else.

They’ve got some annoying UI bugs and need

Sep 29, 2018, 10:24 PM

To include landscape navigation so that I’m not forced to continually rotate it.

But the auto-DVR w/ unlimited storage, stream count (3 concurrent) and search functionality are a definite leg-up on the standard cable experience of downloading each providers app and working through regional blackouts.

What are you watching it on? On my iPad, everything can be landscape. And of course, the UI for smart TVs and Roku looks great.

That’s also what I’m using. $45 a month for TV and $40 for internet. I was paying $160 a month for TV and Internet before I switched from Spectrum.

How are you getting internet for $40? I’m still looking for an alternative to spectrum for internet - $70/month.

$40 for internet? What speeds? Who is the provider?

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've been using it for a while, don't have any complaints.

Sep 29, 2018, 10:26 PM

It never buffers or freezes. Of course, having 500 Mb internet speed does help with that!

What channels does it include?

Sep 29, 2018, 10:53 PM

I assume the basic like ESPN and ESPN2 should be included. But what about ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPNU, SEC Network, Fox Sports and the like?

You get all the ESPN's and FS1 and 2. Also get Big ten network and that other network out little brother in cootlumbia is a part of. All local channels minus the CW and 30 other stations. Cant beat it 6 devices for $40.
