Yes the vaccinated can get Covid and Yes the vaccinated can spread Covid.

However, the opportunity that they can spread Covid is significantly lower than someone who is unvaccinated, typically declining precipitously after day 6 of infection ... whereas an the same drop occurs around Day 10 for an unvaccinated individual.

So unvaccinated individuals have roughly 2x the opportunity to spread Covid. Plus a vaccinated individual has, at minimum a 53% of not even catching Covid in the first place due to protection from the vaccine.

So a vaccinated person

1) has half the chance of even catching Covid
2) has half the chance of even spreading Covid if infected

Did this woman catch it from a vaccinated person? I don't know. But if everyone was vaccinated would she have caught it? The stats say her chance of catching Covid would have been significantly less.

DNR so that you can die at home. No need to take hospital space from others.

So I have superior immunity to anyone vaxxed. I won't be taking up any hospital space because of covid. Of course, if I get hit by a bus or something I'm sure they will label me covid to get the extra cash.

of immunity after having COVID, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

CTom is full of crap for any number of reasons, not the least of which is "not believing in COVID".

"I felt tired one week, so I probably had "COVID"" and that kind of BS.

He is a constant spreader of lies and misinformation on here.

I'm the drama queen? Lol

I'm glad you pulled through but maybe your neighbour won't. Or your parents, or your friends, or your siblings, children, etc.

You're like the famous story of WWII air engineers who analyzed planes coming back on the bullet patterns. They initially wanted to cover the areas with bullet holes for more protection rather than realise planes weren't coming back with holes in the other places.

It's your cognitive dissonance which is troubling. It's you sticking your head in the sand and saying i survived this go around, so I'm gonna patch the areas where the holes were. And ignoring the likely unseen damage your lungs and other internal organs received thus leaving them more exposed for the next infection. And instead of providing yourself the best chance of survival you're just gonna put your head in the sand and cross your fingers you get shot in the right area again.

So good luck to you. I hope you survive Lambda, Mu, Omega, etc.

This guy is a mentor to a cousin of mine. So that's how I got familiar to his story. Dude was likely in much better shape than you (it's part of his livelihood) and believed as you do in superior immunity.

I have had covid, and vaccinated and currently tested positive for it. No symptoms however. Just putting it out there.

I understand the family being upset, but they have no basis to claim this woman developed COVID from being exposed to an unvaccinated person. It's certainly possible and in MS maybe even probable.

How many others did this woman and her husband likewise infect before they manifested symptoms? I again understand the family's grief, but this message of shaming the unvaxxed and further accentuating that one can still die even if vaxxed is unlikely to promote a run on the vaccine clinic.

That being said I do encourage anyone still actually weighing whether to take the jab or not, to do so.

I don't think you understand how all of this works.

1. Getting the vaccine substantially reduces one's chances of getting COVID.
2. Getting the vaccine substantially reduces one's risk of spreading COVID.
3. Therefore, if more people are vaccinated, that results in a sizable reduction in the chances that people will get COVID or transmit COVID.

We obviously can't guarantee that this woman still wouldn't have gotten COVID or died from COVID if more people were vaccinated, but research plus some simple math shows us that her chances would've been much lower.

if that attitude was prevalent then more people would be vaccinated. Nobody gets shamed into a vaccine.
