Watched Crimes of the Future last night. David Cronenberg

Jun 22, 2022, 9:58 AM

has quite an imagination. Lea Seydoux has a beautifully perfect body. Performative surgery as art. Pain and plastic. Open wounds and oral sex. Sensual. Provocative. Evocative.

I don't think everybody will like it, but I #### sure did.

She gets nekkid in that new Wes Anderson movie, too.

I dig Cronenberg and I heard he may have gone too far with this one, so I definitely want to check it out. Is it streaming or what?

Some of the "gone too far" reaction is hype. Though, I can

see where some might get a bit squeamish. It's the movies, so that stuff doesn't bother me.

I believe there was a limited movie theatre release in early June. We have access to a large Plex server where movies and tv shows get "aggregated" for our viewing pleasure.

One of the best video game bad guys ever...the plastic surgeon who thinks every woman should be as beautiful as a Picasso...as in, they need an asymmetrical face

The first one? I don't really remember that

Jun 22, 2022, 11:12 AM

then again it's been like a decade or so since I played it. Never played the follow up games.

Yeah, first Bioshock. Underwater utopian city goes insane. Nice Art Deco vibe to it, pretty good story, but I thought System Shock 2, the "spiritual pre-cursor" was far, far, superior.

You're alone on a gigantic spaceship run by an insane computer with oodles of zombified ex-crew members looking to eat you. 2001:A Space Odyssey on steroids. Years ahead of its time but you'll need an emulator to play it today.

I still play a lot of em but the ones that stand out clearly in my memory are these. All way deeper that just mindless run and gun.

If you like that kind of thing, a definite shid-in-your pants game from just a few years ago is Alien: Isolation. That fugger is terrifying. A+.

Way, way, more than just a mindless shooter. Bring your smarts for this one...

And don't try this one if you have a heart condition. A+
