Say something that the OC is getting more attention than HC

Dec 11, 2012, 4:36 PM

in the job market. Dabo's name did not come up once for any of the SEC jobs despite going to the Orange Bowl last year and going 10-2 this year. Not saying Chad Morris would get those type of offers at this point, but I find it interesting he is a candidate for coaching positions, but no SEC, Big 12, or Big Ten school were as excited as Dabo. Heck, at Louisville, you had Charlie Strong's name tied to 3 SEC jobs. What does that say about what the ADs think of Dabo?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Chad was our head coach just like Rich Rod was***

Dabo brings NOTHING to the table.........no offense to dabo

Dec 11, 2012, 4:50 PM

so you can't say he brings nothing to the table. Recruiting is probably the most important aspect of coaching college anyway.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

but we have no talent on Defense according to Tnet

Dec 11, 2012, 4:51 PM

so can he really recruit?

Which is it?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I already debunked that myth...

a while back, but unfortunately, cannot find the post.

I know he can recruit decent although we're on the verge of losing yet another 4star prospect........regardless he can recruit......i just hope he can save this class

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I see. Re the recruit, I'm not worried about losing a WR

Dec 11, 2012, 4:57 PM

recruit. We have plenty of those. Now if we lose Pagano, O'Daniel or Shaq Lawson, I'll be more concerned.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

But he brought THE CHAD....... no offense w/o Dabo.***

Re: Louisville will be in ACC and you did not mention Clemson

Dec 11, 2012, 4:57 PM

Not many Head Coaches happy where they are will get a lot of interest from other schools.

Of the jobs open this year, which one was better than what Dabo has at Clemson?

Arkansas rebounding from a surprise firing of their HC and a bad season.

Tennessee still on probation from Kiffin.

NC State? BC? Cal?

It's just a terrible argument on your end.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The point is nobody courted Dabo! No ADs or writers

Dec 11, 2012, 5:00 PM

trumpeted him as a top tier coach that belongs in the SEC. I would argue that Tennessee and Auburn are better programs than Clemson despite their bad seasons. More resources, tradition, and fan bases.

Dabo has said numerous times that he is not looking to coach somewhere else. So why would you waste an interview with someone happy and content with where he is. He would only leave for the AL job and that one is not coming up anytime soon nor would he be considered for that job.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What coach that is recruiting would not say that?***

Dec 11, 2012, 5:11 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Perhaps because Clemson is a "destination" job?

Dec 11, 2012, 5:22 PM

The only coaches to leave Clemson for "better" jobs were John Heisman and Charley Pell. This is a place people want to come to, not leave.

The notion that a coach isn't good because he has been lured from Clemson is arguing a false premise.

Dec 11, 2012, 5:24 PM

is choosing. It's just another step in becoming a big time head coach. They want who he hires, they chase his recruits around.
