The night we lost to the Matt Ryan BC

We had a shot at a long awaited ACC title that cold night. And after the game we hung out and partied anyway, because even though that loss hurt, really hurt, we seemed so close. Then someone asked a question that broke the spell. What do you reckon Tommy Bowden is doing right now? Consensus answer: sleeping like a baby. That’s how I see every single one of you fans fighting tooth and nail to snuff out any criticism of our highly paid coaching staff. You don’t care where we are because of where we’ve been. We lose to NCST and you sleep like a baby, struggle with BC and you sleep like a baby. This staff has taken us to unprecedented heights. But they are highly paid employees. It’s on us to press for more more more. Always more. They are well paid to endure that pressure and continue producing.

Your assessment of my nights is dead wrong.

I wake up mad because I know where we’ve been and I know it’s sustainable. Just look at Saban. Everywhere he’s been minus the pros. If ole Nick can change his approach so can Dabo. Dabo has to adapt with the times. Point blank.

On you if you want to make yourself miserable.

More would be nice, but I don't need it and we really have no right to demand it. Are our players getting in trouble? Are they graduating? Are they quality human beings?
Dabo has said for years that these are the metrics he uses to judge the success of his program. A lot of you haven't been listening.
We aren't going to be at the top forever. We are not Alabama. Is our run completely over? No, I doubt it. Recruiting is too good to just immediately drop out of the elite and never return, but one day it will be over, and those trophies will still be sitting in the football facility.
I only ever wanted to see us win one. We won two. I'm not going to cry and pout and stomp my feet because we're having a down year (where we still might win the ACC, mind you).

Truth is we kicked in the door and crashed the party

Now some of us feeling lucky to have been at the party. That isn’t what got us there. We put a mud hole in Saban. We should be deciding who stays at the party!

Clemson walked in and took something. From a dynasty in progress at Bama. Looking at it this way doesn’t mean fans are entitled. Clemson got on the rise under Bowden. Went to the top under Dabo. Grateful is feeling you were lucky it ever happened. Your comment reeks of Clemson isn’t worthy and should just be happy we got to live in Sabans world for a few years. Sleep tight.

Re: We Knew What We Had To Sleep Better Back Then ---

I slept but it wasn't all that great of sleep. I still kept seeing that ball hang in the air for 20 minutes with nothing but a Boston College player waiting on it.
This year we all knew what we were supposed to have....but it's like we got some knock-offs. It's like buying a nice shirt online...then when you get it...the stitching is terribly done. It's like you order something at a restaurant for $30 that looks good and fulfilling...then they come with a huge plate with 2 teaspoons of food on that huge plate.

The ridiculous part of the post is that any highly paid employee with any company is not fired over one incident unless that incident caused deadly harm or put the performance of the company at risk. There is a reason an employee is highly paid and the trust in his or her performance trust is not lost overnight. We have had an undefeated season only twice in the past 40 years so losing a football game is not the end of the Clemson world. Fans that do not recognize that college players are not invincible are simply not living in the real world.

What does any of this have to do with firing anyone? Nothing.

No one in here was happy about the two losses we have had and the close game struggles Dabo and staff made some poor decisions to get us here However I’m trusting Dabo to get us back on track We should all continue to be positive and supportive just like the fans were Saturday night There is nothing wrong with anyone giving their opinions about our current situation We don’t need to throw the baby out with the bath water and end up in the wilderness with Tennessee and others The same thing happened to us when they thru out Danny Ford

It’s not my job to demand more***

I sleep like a baby now because of what I’ve endured over my 40 years of existence and being a Clemson fan. I have perspective, I can do 3-2 laying on my back and get up and squt 500 lbs tomorrow. Sorry you seem to be young or new but shut up dude, horrible post and take. The real fans are the ones who have paid for season tickets, iptay, parking etc for 40+ years, the babies crying now have no idea what a “tough” Season is like… take a lap guy

It is the job of any fan base to pressure the coaching staff to excel. Don’t come with this holier than thou better fan mess I was a fan since Charlie Pell days. I can take winning and losing as well as the next guy. The point of the post, which you vehemently disagree with, is you like to see the program advance and don’t like seeing it regress. So you don’t just sit back and shut up when we go from beating Bama for the Natty to losing 2 of first 4 games. I’m not calling for heads. At all. Just tired of self righteous fans attacking people applying pressure to stay on top. Whatever you may think from all your years of suffering, Clemson is as worthy as anyone else to stay on top.
