Spring game tips?

Hi Tnet!
I'm attending the spring game for the first time (me and my father), and I'd love to get some tips from those who have been before and might be able to offer some do's and don't's to make our experience awesome. I have a few questions:
- How early should we plan to arrive on campus to get parking within, say, a half mile of the stadium? Is the arrival time to get in, say lot 1, vastly different than other further lots?
- Do we need to enter the stadium promptly at 11am to sit low (first 25 rows)? Where would we likely end up sitting if we walked in right at kickoff?
- Is there any tailgating? Would we get in trouble with CUPD bringing a cooler with some adult beverages to enjoy before the game? How different is the pre-game atmosphere for this game compared to a regular home game? If there's no tailgating, do most people spend their pre-game time in bars/restaurants?
Thanks in advance, and can't wait to hang out with the other 68,998 folks on hand for the game!

whether this year will be more crowded than years past. Normally you'd be fine walking in shortly before the game and getting a decent seat. And yes, you can tailgate and drink heavily.

drunk before even looking for tickets. They're outrageous this year.
One guy wanted to charge me $150 for a pair. I didn't know they charged money for the spring game but you know everyone's out for money these days.

We entered stadium 30 min before kickoff last year and got decent seats. I think there were maybe 50,000 last year. There's music, players practicing, and plenty excitement so not too boring to sit and wait.
There's a clear bag rule so can't carry much into stadium.

Thanks! By decent, like lower half of the lower deck?
I think part of the fun would be getting to sit much lower than my gameday seats to get a close view of the action.

you're 45 years old, so I'd watch out. Walking to the game could also result in DUI. Think twice, save a life.

I'd say they were clowns, but there's nothing amusing about ruining peoples futures.
