"you still have Mike Williams" Jan. 7, 2013

Mar 16, 2017, 5:28 PM

In December 2012, Demarcus Robinson decommitted. On Jan. 7, 2013 Ryan Jenkins decommitted. Both were highly regarded wide receivers. Then on Jan 7, Mike Williams tweeted "Clemson Fans don't stress over them decommits, you still have Mike Williams". I, like many of you, have been a Mike Williams fan since that day. We will always have Mike Williams. He was then and will always be one of the Clemson family. I am so happy for his success. I will be celebrating for him on draft day.

Wishing for a big paycheck for Mike, he has earned it.

Healthy Mike in 2015, Clemson would have likely had the first meeting vs Alabama, and still a Natty.

Wasn't it Sammy Watkins or Martavius Bryant

Who said the same thing when they declared early for the draft?

I remember him tweeting that and always wondered

Mar 16, 2017, 6:36 PM

if Demarcus robinson regretted his decision. he was a great talent at fla but never had the benefit of a good qb. had to sting watching watson throwing the pill around at wru!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Plenty of good UF qb's, bad coaches...

Mar 17, 2017, 6:18 AM

#BOOM!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There were 3 good QBs on that that roster

Mar 17, 2017, 9:33 PM [ in reply to I remember him tweeting that and always wondered ]

Driskle, Brisset, and the one that transferred to BC. Muschamp just didn't know how to use them.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

guess I missed that. those guys looked bad to me

Driskel couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, comon guys. Muschamp's offenses were terrible at Florida.

As a very small town SC guy, I have been extremely proud of Mike. A lot of my child hood years were down in his part of SC in the town of Santee known as the Summerton/Santee area...

It's pretty amazing to be able to look down on programs as highly touted & successful as Florida and Tennessee. A decade ago, I wouldn't have imagined we'd be anywhere near that (Tennessee less so, but still).
