Could someone again remind me why we have Dave Matthews Band?

Is it because of one princess who heard it on a radio show first? I’m not the biggest fan. But I see nothing worth hating. I say we identify the loser that first pronounced them a loser, and then give up on em.

That being said, if I was offered free tickets to one of his shows in the ILM next week, I would go.
Maybe I am a hater because I don't understand it. I did see part of an interview with him the other day and he seemed like a decently cool down to earth guy. He was explaining how Crash Into Me was about his partner and was supposed to be non-sexual but in one take he added the "Hike Up Your Skirt" line which made it much more sexual. That worked for 20 something year old Dave but 40 something year old Dave can't really get into it anymore. Something like that.

but I like Carter Beauford (the drummer)
one of the few guys touring who plays like I do w/ an open set up on the hi-hat. I'd assume he's left handed too like me but was forced to play a righty kit.
plus, he can bang

was always a fun show. But that was a couple decades ago.
Not sure I'd see him now even if tickets were pretty much free. I'm not a hater. Just heard it enough.

some Dave Platinum Tickets go up for sale. No clue what Platinum Tickets gets you, but I think they were north of $600 each. I asked if you get to sit on Dave's lap for that kind of money and she deleted her post.
His show is expensive, but pretty much everybody is these days.

I would imagine that I've seen him more than anybody else, because I saw him everytime he came around in HS and college. Havent seen him in about 10 years though. Rarely listen to him.
actually I bet I've seen Widespread and Gov't Mule more and Dead and Company more, but Dave is probably 4th place.

And pretty much over it now. It was a completely different sound to grunge when he came out so that helped him, and if you couldn’t get laid to half the songs on Crash, you couldn’t get laid.

...other than being a Jounge meme. I could go to a show and probably enjoy it, he's just not somebody that is in my wheelhouse. I've listened to some of his work here and there enough to know that I wouldn't pay for a ticket. If he was at a festival or someplace like the Whitewater Center, I wouldn't necessarily walk away.
