RB-Feaster, Fuller, Choice
WR-Deon Cain, Overton/Higgins
WR-Ray Ray/Cornell Powell, Amari Rodgers
WR-Hunter Renfrow, TrevionThompson/Chase
TE-Milan Richard, Garret Williams
RT-Sean Pollard, Anchrum
RG-Tyrone Crowder,Maverick Morris
C-Falcinelli, Cervenka
LG-Hearn, Simpson
LT-Hyatt, Anchrum

DE-Ferrell, Xavier Kelly
DT-Dex, Huggins
DT- Wilkins, Pagano
DE- Bryant, Yeargin
WLB-Shaq Smith/Jalen Williams
MLB-Kendall Joseph, Tre Lamar
SLB-O'Daniel, Williams/Davis
CB-Trayvon Mullen, Ryan Carter
SS-Van Smith, Korrin Wiggins/Wallace
FS-Tanner Muse/Isaiah Simmons
CB-Mark Fields, Edmonds/Baker
Nickel-Ryan Carter, K'Von Wallace.

K-Huegel
P-Spiers
PR-Ray Ray/Powell/Feaster/Higgins
KR-Same as above but with Fuller

2017 commits who could be in line for early and often playing time:
Higgins, Rodgers, Johnson, Terrell, Brockhurst, Rudolph

I could see this team winning anywhere from 10 to 12 games. Only ones I think are in doubt, and I use that term lightly, are Auburn since it's so early in the season and FSU cause they are returning a lot on D and they have a proven QB. Talent wise they are the only team close to us in the ACC and on our schedule in general.

Thoughts?

Louisville has some pretty nice talent, their D will be pretty tough next year.

I agree with you though.

Jan 13, 2017, 7:13 PM

Pretty sure that Louisville loses pretty much all of their defense. They also lost their Defensive Coordinator.

Still not easy on the road against a QB who put up over 400 yards on us.

Re: 2017 Depth Chart as of what we have now..

Jan 13, 2017, 7:16 PM

Understood but as crazy as this sounds I believe our defense will be better and more athletic next year...which results in having a better chance of slowing him down. He may have put up over 400 but if I remember correctly most were in 2nd half and on the ground

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: 2017 Depth Chart as of what we have now..

Jan 13, 2017, 7:24 PM

I do think the D could be better. We contained him good in the first half correct but he is a great player.

Yeah they do return I think 5-6 on D. But to hurt Jacksons' accuracy even more he is losing top 2 receivers, best TE and his RB.

Fuller will start IMO everything else seems on point. Will be interesting to see how WLB turns out.

Jan 13, 2017, 7:14 PM

I think Feaster will start cause on the extra gear and dynamic ability.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: 2017 Depth Chart as of what we have now..

Jan 13, 2017, 7:17 PM

He will have to improve tremendously all around. Fuller knows the plays and blocking. He also ran very well this year. It will be a 1 2 punch either way as both will get reps. Even Choice should see a lot of PT he is a fine back and will have another yea removed from injury.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Tra Lamar

Jan 15, 2017, 11:18 AM [ in reply to Re: 2017 Depth Chart as of what we have now.. ]

Yea, I have been asking for a couple weeks what people's thoughts were at WILL.
Wondering does Lamar move from Mike to WILL, or does Smith start.

At RB..
may not happen right away. But Feaster will take over #1, IMO

Re: 2017 Depth Chart as of what we have now..

Jan 13, 2017, 7:28 PM

Not to get too far ahead but depending on QB play and the ability to score points, we should legitimately be strong playoff contenders again. It will take two RB's to replace the complete player (blocking & running) that Gallman was but I think we have that in Fuller & Feaster. Ray Ray for Tay will be nearly even swap if RR can hold onto the ball.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: 2017 Depth Chart as of what we have now..

Jan 13, 2017, 7:29 PM

By Tay are you meaning Artavis Scott? Cause he declared for the draft

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: 2017 Depth Chart as of what we have now..

Jan 13, 2017, 7:34 PM

Yep, I meant Tay. Ray Ray should slide into his starting spot.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'd be shocked if Carter isn't starting at CB

Jan 13, 2017, 7:31 PM

Seeing as he started this year. Fuller starts at RB. Watch Chad Smith at Will.

Going to be fun to watch the competitions at QB, RB, C, Will, CB and S this spring.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I'd be shocked if Carter isn't starting at CB

Jan 13, 2017, 7:37 PM

Only reason I didn't put Carter as starter at CB is because Mullen is going to develop quickly. Dude is a beast. Carter is great but Mullen is a legit CB. Cater is flexible hints the Nickel spot

Jan 13, 2017, 7:54 PM

Our opinions are different. No matter the class, best player, plays.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Only other senior starter is O'Daniel

Jan 13, 2017, 8:09 PM

and he comes out for Nickel. They have confidence in Carter. You're breaking in one new CB, Carter knows what he's doing, Knows the system. Fields busts all the time and Mullen hardly saw the field. Game 1 is likely to be Carter and Edmund.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Only other senior starter is O'Daniel

Jan 13, 2017, 8:18 PM

Lol Carter is probably one of my favorite players on the team. But you aren't understanding that Mullen was a 5 star outta high school and looked unreal when he played. Also O'Daniel doesn't "come in" as the Nickel he starts at OLB. Not gonna argue with some old guy behind a keyboard about what could happen 8 months from now less than a week off of a championship.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You need to read it again

Jan 13, 2017, 8:35 PM

Says O'Daniel comes out for Nickel. Mullen hardly played, if he looked great it was garbage time. Tre Lamar is a five star, but he's not starting over three star Kendall Joseph.

If Shaq Smith doesn't get his sssignments down he won't start at Will.

Smith and Johnson were not as talented at safety this year as Green and Kearse were last year, but they were better. They didn't bust near as much. Knowing assignments and having good technique means something. Our coaches learned that when it basically cost us a championship last year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: You need to read it again

Jan 13, 2017, 8:40 PM

Reading all of your comments makes it appear that you are the one who can't handle people having different opinions from yours. Also, you just joined TigerNet in 2016. What makes you such an instant expert?

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: You need to read it again

Jan 14, 2017, 10:51 PM

Hahahahhaha wow that's cute. So in order for anyone to be an "expert" the qualifications are that you have to be a TigerNet memeber for a certain number of years? I apologize. I didn't realize that in order to be an expert or even a fan of Clemson you had to be a member of this site for years on end. I thought me going to Clemson games since I was 3 and now being 22 showed I am a Clemson fan and a die hard one at that. By the way, never claimed to be an expert but I did have different opinions than the other person to whom couldn't accept my differing opinions. But apparently the "loyalties" on TigerNet are officially based on who has been a member the longest. Been reading these boards for 5-6 years just never thought about joining til this past year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You need to learn the difference between "not accepting"

Jan 14, 2017, 11:31 PM

and disagreeing and debating. You post an opinion on a message board, people are going to disagree. Stop taking it so personal

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: You need to learn the difference between "not accepting"

Jan 14, 2017, 11:51 PM

Right back at ya.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Let's see now

Jan 14, 2017, 11:55 PM

I never once called you immature. Never said you could not take someone disagreeing with you. Just stated my opinion.

I didn't have to say you were immature, you've revealed that on your own

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Let's see now

Jan 15, 2017, 12:20 AM

I'm not immature. I posted my opinion on depth chart. You stated your opinion I then stated it was your opinion and I disagreed and you kept on and on trying to convince me that your opinions were factual. Your opinions are just that, they are your opinions. No matter what you say about certain players it won't change how I feel about them haha. But in all seriousness it is what it is I guess no matter what team you are a fan of whether the same or not, you are gonna butt heads with other people. So with that being said I consider this "hissy" over with, have yourself a good night.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes, you are immature.

Jan 15, 2017, 2:00 AM

It's painfully obvious.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You do understand that debate is attempting to convince someone

Jan 15, 2017, 7:59 AM

of your opinion don't you? Do you also realize a sign of immaturity is not realizing you are immature, and deflecting your behavior on to others?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: You do understand that debate is attempting to convince someone

Jan 15, 2017, 8:09 AM

Still not immature, I do know what debating is. I've been reading these boards for years and honestly I think it is bull$h!t how all the people who have been "members" the longest think they run this site. They think they are the only ones who are right. And by god if someone disagrees with those people they are either accused of being a coot or ganged up on because the loyalties lie with who has been on this site for the longest. And once again I attempted to bring this convo to a stop and no shocker that you had a smart a$$ remark to make.
