duper conservative. One of the founders was a longtime (former) friend of mine who created all kinds of problems with our local school board.

She was awesome on the school board until all of the sudden she was not. Rumors of an affair with her and the superintendent made her not seek relection. She lost her mind and created the Mom's for liberty Group with another whack-a-do ousted school board member.
Losing teachers left and right who are sick of putting up with the policies that her group is shoving down everyone's throats. Kids couldn't even check out books from the library from schools or read a book in their teachers classroom at the beginning of the school year thanks to them suing our local school district over a list of books they wanted banned.
It is utter crazy town.

They're inventing problems in schools that aren't there as a justification to take power, and then trying to take control with an agenda that only fits their worldview. They've taken a stronghold in Berkeley and are now eyeing Charleston County.
Good rule of thumb: If an organization has to put "Liberty" or "Freedom" in its name, it usually doesn't support those things.

and they have to create new controversies to try to stay relevant.
The moms here who are part of that group seem to be uneducated nobodies who crawled out of the woodwork to raise a stink. They aren't even active in their own kids schools.

Well, if there's a "woke" group doing the same thing to school boards and districts, that's wrong as well, but I haven't heard of one in this area.
