Will losing Lannden Zanders hurt our secondary?

Read on ESPN that he and Andrew Mutababa are the only Safeties with experience this season.
Ouch.

Phillips and Mickens are both upper classmen. I think it may hurt a little bit from a leadership standpoint, but I was personally expecting Zanders to be a starter. At least not the whole season

Not much, the talent is there and the schedule is soft to start the season.

Mukuba, Phillips, Mickens, and Venables are a really good four. Then you have Covil and Griffin as well. Love our safeties.

Let’s be honest, while Zanders had plenty of experience, he was probably the least talented of all the safeties. He is undersized and injury prone (I.e. why he retired) the rotation will be just fine without him. But I wish him the best on his next venture in life

While you say he was under sized. Andrew Makuba weighed in at 180. We all know the talent he has. For comparison Fred Davis weighed in at 205.

Do they realize he didn’t play at all last season?

Zanders hasn’t been a factor one way or the other at all in a very long time.

where coots like you, who don’t know much about our depth chart or the impact Zanders has actually had on our team, take every word they say to be accurate. Not only are you a coot but you are a willfully ignorant coot looking for any little thing you can find to troll the board with. Go away and find something better to do with your time. You’re wasting time with your troll game here.

You had to read on espn?? If you were truly a Clemson person you wouldn’t need to read espn to know who we have at safeties

Odds are he quit Because he was given the impression that he wouldn't be starting. Guys don't just walk away from a starting spot on an elite defense because they suddenly don't like football.
