With Biden & Trump as our only 2 Presidential Choices..

We are in deep sheet, in that both are not what We The People need in these troublesome times, imho.
When will our political parties present us with truly wise candidates who care for all of us (as much as humanly possible).
Going back a bit, I thought Jeb Bush was a pretty decent man & candidate (even if a Republican)..due to experience running a difficult state, being level-headed, slow to the draw, having a good mentor in his Dad, ability to listen, etc..
but he got chased out of the arena by bully Trump.
You got a possible future candidate that would be for Us All (as much is humanly possible) and not having an agenda of dividing and/or taking this Country away from its roots of Freedom & Well-Being for its Citizens?

Too much probably but I'll say it again.
Until we figure out how to fix the primary system we are going to get what we've gotten the last 2 cycles.
I don't know how that happens - ranked choice voting, one national primary day, drawing straws, the winner of Survivor(r), or what but the primary system needs to change.

You do realize there are other choices, right...?

You can't be one of those glue eaters who really still believes that we can only have a two party system even with these being your choices. There is a Clemson professor running as the Libertarian candidate. In 2016 Gary Johnson got almost 5 million votes, and she has outraised him and is on the ballot in all 50 states. If half the people who think Trump and Biden are both horrible options voted for her, she would win. and if the MSM would include her in polls and give her a little airtime or let her debate, I guarantee you she would get above the 18% Ross Perot got.

I hate to say it, but we may be past that point. I don't know if we'll ever get another candidate who is about unity and making America better. Or, at least, who will surround themselves with people who will take that stance. Divisiveness and extremism appears to be the path to win a primary, and then it becomes a game of lying to the moderates to trick them into voting for the lesser of two evils.
I wish Rubio or Kasich had emerged from the 2016 GOP mess. Anyone who thought Trump was the best choice of that crowd is a fool.

Who is this Clemson Prof running as a Libertarian?

Interesting..but big thing against this independent party is it’s seemingly weak or no foreign policy.
What say you?

She is definitely not pro-war and wants to bring as many troops home as possible, but she's not some hippie who wants to defund the military. Quite the opposite. Her quote is, “Turn America into One Giant Switzerland: Armed and Neutral.” She believes a strong military and defense will be a deterrent, and that our military spending is inefficient because we defend all these other countries who are NOT 25 trillion in debt.

For the past few presidential elections, I've pretty much stuck to Libertarian votes. I know those candidates don't have a snowball's chance, but I try to play the long game and encourage others to as well. If third party candidates keep getting more votes, they have to be given a seat at the table eventually.
And no, casting a vote for Gary Johnson in 2016 didn't help Hillary or Trump, regardless of what their people tried to argue.

If everyone voted for the best candidate in their minds like you have, we wouldn't be stuck with Trump or Biden. Keep up the good work!

Re: a fool. Easy to say that in hindsight. But without COVID and without G Floyd, the Trump record would be record breaking. Lifting everyone up is a good way (not the only way for sure) to address some of the race issues.
Having the left-wing media amplify and analyze every single word he says is not productive and is an enormous part of the perception of divisiveness. Trump's tweets don't help either.
The bottom line, even if we elected Reagan in November, or name the most beloved non-controversial conservative (is there one?), the media would make them into a huge POS in short order. No tolerance on the left for any non-left ideas.
IMO it's a no-win situation no matter which conservative would be in office.
Does the center exist any longer?

Any of those two would have been "record breaking" as the economy was already in a massive upswing. I'd argue those other GOP candidates would have gotten even more done than Trump, who seems to have accomplished very little with a mostly GOP Congress during his time.
And I'm not sure the Dems retake the House if we had a sane, competent GOP president come out of the 2016 field. So yes, Trump support before the primary was foolish--and honestly, the only thing he was selling differently than the other guys was xenophobia and extremism, so that's what a person embraced if they liked him pre-primary.

If anything, although she didn't always act in SC's best interest (knowingly or not), I don't think she's a liar, and she seems to be fiscally conservative.

Jesus Christ all the whining. I like Trump. Is he crass, and have terrible speech delivery? Yes. Other than that, I like him. Cutting taxes, cutting regulations, asking UN partners to finally pay up, trade deals that put us first. All things I’m a fan of.
Asking a president to fix racism, or stop a virus? JFC, that’s just dumb. Federal government=regulate interstate commerce, provide national defense, deal with international issues. Everything else is a local or state issue.
