I don't get this guy. I don't. Back in February, he was basically saying "something had to change" or else. https://www.tampabay.com/sports/seminoles/2023/02/24/fsu-football-florida-state-acc-conference-realignment/
Now, he comes out of the ACC meetings yesterday singing kumbaya and how "thrilled" he is to be a part of the ACC.....yeah, right. He's thrilled to be making $20-$30 million less per year than he would in the SEC or B1G?!?
Do you believe this guy? Can anybody put any stock in what this guy says going forward? Is this guy now the mouthpiece for the ACC?

It’s already been agreed on how hey will handle announcements and the timing. Changes are coming but the ACC needed time to find the teams that will fill the void.
It will be a settlement between the schools & the conference.

If true, and we're talking about Clemson being one of those ACC schools to go elsewhere, does this mean that we've already had an invitation to join the SEC or the big, bc if an invitation hasn't been offered from one or the other, does this mean that Clemson is willing to go private and arrange it's own deals something like what Notre Dame does??? And like ND, have all their sports with the exception of FB connected to the ACC!!!

I suspect someone with more power than he, had a talk with him and he had a come to Jesus moment. It could have been someone at Clemson.
I'm not convinced that Clemson will move out of the ACC, no matter what. The coach and his staff are making millions, IPTAY is happy, warm butts still filling the seats, fans happy, and so are the BOD, the Prez. and the AD. Big fish in a little pond can satisfy a lot of egos.
Clemson should have joined the SEC long ago.

All this is true, but it is not sustainable to run $30+ million/year deficits against B1G/SEC teams and expect to remain competitive.....the gap is just too big.

Yes sir, even in a day and time when a $ Million bucks really isn't that big of a fortune, but any way you look at it, 30 $ Million is a really big fortune, and it would be impossible for a school twice as big as Clemson to keep up with that kind of a deficient!!!

Don't think for a second that Clemson would hold onto the ACC until that boat suck to the very bottom, bc I don't believe for a second that our admin is so stupid to try and bail the water out of a sinking ship that is sinking faster than the water could possibly be bailed out!!!!

the possibility exists that the AD were instructed to put-on a happy face in front of the media regardless of what occurred during those closed door meetings.
