This is how good our first string D is

I decided to do some research and see how many points we have given up in the first three quarters because most of the points that have been scored on us have come after the game was out of reach. Here are the results
Kent St- 3 points
Auburn- 6 points
Louisville- 7 points
B.C.- 7 points
V. Tech- 3 points
Wake- 0 points
Syracuse- 27 points
G.T.- 3 points
NC St- 31 points
FSU- 7 points
Citadel- 0 points
S. Carolina- 0 points
Miami- 0 points
So they are giving up 7.2 points and 0 in the last three games. If you take out the Syracuse and NC St games then they are giving up 3.2 points. During garbage time in the 4th quarter Louisville scored 14, V. T. Scored 14, Wake scored 14, G. T. Scored 7, FSU scored 7, Citadel scored 3, USuC scored 10, Miami scored 3 fora total of 72 4th quarter points an average of 5.5 in the 4th against backups gaining experience.
If we don't turn the ball over or give up special teams points Alabama will not score 21! Play clean, punt when needed, protect the ball and score over 21 and we are going back to the Natty baby! Go Tigers

Alabama has given up 138 points in 12 games.

Clemson has given up 166 points in 13 games.

It will be a defensive battle for sure.

Alabama has played a major cupcake special... that's co?paring apples to oranges. I do agree that it will be a defensive slugfest until we wear them down

I wouldn’t call it a cupcake schedule. Both schedules are pretty comparable. Bama played a lot of subs too. Their backup qb minutes were way more than ours.

The SOS differential was something like 4 to 56. Bama's record would probably be the same with a tougher schedule but their SOS wasn't really all that good.

Thanks for sharing this, it’s nice to know we will win the experienced depth contest too! Dabo is wise beyond his years, I’m so grateful we have him using wisdom he’s learned from the greats along with his God given talents!
