If you are reading this message you have made it another day. Another day with breath in your lungs. Be thankful for today because tomorrow is not promised. For nearly 16 months I have battled several serious health conditions. They found two lesions on my brain about 16 months ago which caused me to have seizures, lose part of my eye sight and lose some memory. This led to me being seriously depressed and feeling worthless. Not much mattered to me for a long time. I even gave up on my love for sports and anything that used to provide me happiness. I went to bed at night praying, literally praying to God asking for him to take me so I did not have to wake up the next day. Then, about 6 months ago, I decided to try and start living again. It was my love for my Tiger's and all things Boston sports that brought me alive again. I had left T-Net for nearly a year because I couldn't get my mind right and this summer I decided to log back in because I missed it so much. I'm glad I did. You all keep me laughing and smiling everyday. I am truly thankful everyday to have one more day because there was a time I didn't think I would get one more day nor did I want another day.
Anyway, I digress, let's talk about our Tiger's beating the Fighting Sebastians today. Today is the day our Tiger's play a solid 4 quarters on both offense and defense and that Hurricane gets downgraded to a tropical depression (no pun intended) this afternoon. Let's be loud and let's be proud.

You just reminded me to start my morning with a prayer of Thanksgiving and I'll be sure to include you in that. I'll admit that I'm inclined to get too busy with nothing but busy-ness and fail to start my mornings with praise and thankfulness as I should.
Looking forward to a satisfying Tiger win today. If you really are or have been a cop, then I'm sending you a virtual grandmotherly hug and kiss for that too.

Glad you came back and like others, your posts have been inspiring. Also motivation to revisit faith and the power of prayer.
Bret is very intelligent. Well spoken and well read. He knows his stuff. He knows football and his posts are always a pleasure to read. I look forward every time I see a post from him.
Will certainly keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Hope you're right about today's game. Just looking at the schedule and Miami 's record says we should win easily. But I'm thinking this will be a tough match-up for us with their defense... hopefully we'll come out with an aggressive up tempo down the field strategy.
