Yesterdays TV Coverage

I don't know about ya'll but I was p o e' d yesterday that our game was not shown on a alternate channel until the crap game that was on was over. We were ranked #2 at the time. As I remember we missed most of the first quarter, not that we missed anything. Also the rest of the game camera shots and coverage was lousy. Just my opinion. How about yours?

on the coverage, I thought every game on TV had that now. It did seem less than second rate.

ESPN2 has always had crappy cameramen. Announcers sucked also.

which lagged so badly it froze then skipped plays. It was worse than not seeing the game at all. The broadcast networks know that if they force long and multiple timeouts the games are going to run over the allotted time slots. I know they have top games back to back and they don't want anyone getting bored and changing channels but missing so much of the first quarter of a game is ridiculous.
ESPiN had two or three alternate channels available to show that game. The networks could give us a break.

What were those two or three alternate channels? Espn news is the only one, and they showed the beginning of the tcu vs ok st game, which was a ranked vs ranked game. Can't fault them for that. So what were the other two alternate channels?

Bill Goodrich was my step father. Married my mom in 1965, I actually started going to games in 1966. Woop pee Mercy!!! Was his claim to fame and when he signed off on WFBC at night he would always say goodnight redhead. My mom was a brunette...

Very good memory Her name was actually Polly Vernon. They met at WFBC my mom when to work for Wfcb after graduating from Furman University. Bill was originally from Mississippi.

Never missed but one home game in over thirty years. The one I missed was when Hugo blew in. I would still be there but the cost out paced my wallet!

I can't say the same but haven't missed many. Over the years I've seen some good one's play in the valley. Going back to Kenny Stabler when he was at Bama. Saw him beat us 13-10 Jimmy Addison was our qb and Buddy Gore at running back we had a good team.

I use to mute TV a lot and listen on the radio. Can't do that now, TV is about a play and a half behind radio.

Yesterday's broadcast of the game was the most Busch league broadcast i've seen from them. I guess the profit losses are starting to show.
