Yes or no...does Joseph Ngata get drafted?

While I think he has NFL-caliber height, weight, speed and hands, due at least in part to all of his injuries, I think he is largely unproven.

What is NO, Alex?

With all the receivers out there available who actually DID put up better numbers, I would be very surprised if a team drafted him. More likely, he has to go the UDFA route, as did Justyn Ross.

I can believe that, those ESECPN guys last night were saying that WR's wasn't a big demand for this years draft, and I think that probably means that Ngata made a mistake by entering this years draft.

I think that if the kid is now healthy, he will probably impress a team that's needing a good young receiver, he will get a free agent deal.

A healthy Ngata could play in the NFL, he just didn't impress at Clemson bc of his injuries that I hope the kid has taken care of. It happens all the time with kids during their college FB career and they go on to have a pretty good NFL career, and that's what I hope for Ngata.

If Ngata would have stayed for another season, for sure he would helped his draft position, but if he had come back for another season at Clemson, that would have made Dabo 4 scholarships short instead of 3 short. Do we have 4 walk ons with a scholarship we could get back;)

No, I wish he would have comeback for one more season.
He would have made a lot of money in the next draft that he’ll never see now.

kind of outstanding year and put up the production to be a high draft pick. But I think the odds are that he is what he's shown so not sure just by coming back he'd have somehow ended up making a lot of money in football.

An opportunity to play with a better QB and OC perhaps?***

IMO, that should have been the very reason for him to come back with a legit chance to show out, and the next years draft would surely have needed a lot of WR's in the next years draft. Can he back out of the draft if his name hasn't been called. Probably not, but he really isn't a pro until he actually gets paid for playing in the NFL, Right? I know the answer, and that rule really should be changed if a kid doesn't get drafted or doesn't sign a free agent deal!!!!

Probably not, but the Lions still have some picks so anything is possible.

Maybe in the last round, but he'll probably be a free agent signee. He'll be lucky to make the practice squad.

Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

NO. But,

Apr 28, 2023, 12:21 PM

His physical stature and attributes will give him an opportunity as a UDFA and likely practice squad.

But, no he won't get drafted.

Yes I do think so. He will get a late round pick based on potential

Apr 28, 2023, 12:23 PM

Just like he got a scholarship to Clemson based on his potential.

He has it. Whether or not he figures out you have to work for it is all that remains for him

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If you use his career stats of 88 receptions, 1,287 yards,

Apr 28, 2023, 12:41 PM

and 6 TDs, and pretend he did it all in one season, he does seem like a draftable prospect...

He has good height and length, but that's about all he has going for him. His speed and strength are mediocre. In particular his 3-cone and 10-yard dash times are very poor. This does not bode well for his chances of creating separation at the next level

If he had proven that he was great at making contested catches he'd have a much better chance. His college production just was not there for teams to spend a pick on him.

He'll go undrafted and likely sign as an undrafted FA. I would not count on him making an NFL roster though.
