Prtryung Biden as an idiot may come back to haunt Trump

Aug 12, 2020, 7:59 PM

Call me Mr. wishy-washy, which is fair. But tonight watching trumps press conference and then watching Biden’s conference with Harris. Makes me think maybe Trump is worn out from all the abuse he has endured over the last four years. Admittedly some(most) of it is not fair. I noticed that he slurred a few words, and if he wants to leverage that he is much more mentally competent than Biden he can’t do that.

Just a thought here. Trump and others have made Biden seem like such a senile stupid figure, if during the campaign and debate if he isn’t absolutely terrible he will exceed expectations.

We will see what happens. The next several weeks of the campaign will be very fascinating

Meant to say portraying. I understand the irony that I am the idiot! But please read my post and let me know what you think beyond this error.

I think Biden is doing a good enough job of

Aug 12, 2020, 8:10 PM

portraying himself as an idiot that he doesn’t need Trumps help. Trump may have slurred a few words but Biden is lucky to put two sentences together and all he has to do is read them. I think their best strategy is to treat him like the struggling actor from the Liberty Biberty commercials, put his mask on and dub the voice over so he can’t screw it up

I watched Trump tonight. I also thought he looked tired. Heck, who wouldn’t be. But I looked beyond what seemed like fatigue and listened to the substance. I like what I hear. Trump 2020!!

Re: I agree he looks worn out but it's more from the conflict

Aug 12, 2020, 9:01 PM

I agree that generally speaking Trump is more mentally capable than Biden. But my point is the fact that Trump and others have made him seem like an idiot gives Biden a low bar to jump over during the debates. It will not be hard for Biden to exceed expectations.. I think it’s something to think about that is a fair point

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I disagree. I would say Trump is less senile (from old age) than Biden,

Aug 12, 2020, 10:19 PM

but I do not think Trump is more mentally capable. He is a narcissistic sociopath. He can’t ever answer a question that’s asked of him, he just rambles on about whatever he feels like talking about. He can’t really speak in complete sentences and jumps all over the place. And I honestly think the guy is legitimately a moron, whose social skills equate to about a 6th grader. I think a somewhat senile Biden is more capable than someone with those traits.

I’m not just bashing him to bash him, this is from 3.5 years of observation. I had no opinion of him really before he became president, and I thought most of that behavior was just a way to differentiate himself during the primary, and the “real” trump would come out once elected.

I align much more with Trump on policies than Biden/the Democrat’s, but I will be voting Biden because of all of the above.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So you’d rather have the “somewhat capable” guy

Aug 12, 2020, 10:23 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think Trump is the worst person we’ve had in office ever.

Aug 12, 2020, 10:37 PM

I think more than anything our country needs stability right now. And you know what you get with Joe. You may not like it, but you know what to expect, and it won’t be the decisive, attacking attitude that’s been in office the last 3.5 years. I also think the president is much less important than congress, and will be voting for Republican senators. My hope is for a split Congress with Biden as president. I don’t think much would get accomplished, and that would be a tolerable holdover until 2024 when hopefully we can get a better candidate(s) on the ballot.

I would love to vote purely based on policy, but I can’t with someone like Trump in office. I couldn’t have much self-respect voting for someone like that to be our president, no matter their policies. Just how I am.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Voting for republican Congressman. Not just senators.

Aug 12, 2020, 10:40 PM

Typo

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And divisive, not decisive. It’s late***

Aug 12, 2020, 10:42 PM [ in reply to I think Trump is the worst person we’ve had in office ever. ]

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well at least you’re voting for some

Aug 12, 2020, 10:52 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes I would agree it’s somewhat bizarre. I thought he

Aug 12, 2020, 10:59 PM

would move more center after he became the nominee. Although I will wait and see how far left he goes with his actions, not sure if his pandering to the farther left during this part of the campaign is just to get the Sanders crowd to vote instead of staying home, or if he truly aligns with them. Congress is already pretty inept, if we could have a split congress, and 4 more years of inaction, I would take that in a heartbeat. I say split because I don’t think Republicans will take the house.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I have a hard time believing all of this...

cut my nose off to spite my face reasoning... makes no sense

Aug 12, 2020, 10:38 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I saw why...

Aug 12, 2020, 10:44 PM

it makes little sense to me. Trump does policy you agree with but you don't like him so you will vote for someone who doesn't support policies you agree with.

Sounds like a popularity contest for student body president or you aren't being honest about liking Trump's policies.

I'm not trying to be rude, but that is just a strange way of thinking.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-franc1968.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Trump isn’t fit to lead, I don’t think Biden will get much accomplished,

Aug 12, 2020, 10:56 PM

I hope for the divisiveness to end. I do still support some of Biden’s policies, so it’s not going totally against what I believe. I’m independent- one option supports more of the policies I align with but isn’t fit to lead, the other supports some but less policies I agree with, and is more stable and fit to lead. I’ll vote for Republican senators to hopefully help on the policy front, and Biden for the stability piece. I just want the least painful path to get to 2024, no matter who wins this will have been 8 years of bad candidates to choose from.

I’m not saying Biden is sharp as nails mentally. But he is much more stable, and much less divisive, and doesn’t lie every other sentence, which is what we need right now.

who deny Biden's problems. Most Trump voters on here acknowledge Trump is a piece of crap.

Some people want to try and pretend that there are levels of lies and somehow one lie is better than another lie. That's ridiculous. A liar is a liar.

So let's cut through the highly deficient personalities and crappy choices and deal with policy.

the divisiveness is not going to end. That ship done sailed and Trump didn't start it.

It's not going back the other way. This is a culture war. Either you want the things (policies) like you say you like, or you get the policies that progressives like Kamala Harris will push. People who are against those policies will be shown the same mercy she showed criminals as AG in California.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-franc1968.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Noted. Don’t care if you agree with me or not.

Aug 12, 2020, 11:09 PM

Just laid out my reasons why.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

IF the Dems agree to debate it will be a very close election

Aug 12, 2020, 8:57 PM

Because Trump and Pence will clean their clocks.

Trump will beat Joe senseless and slurring KAMella will get her Jamaican-Indian arsse whupped by Pence.

Then it will go from a pretty easy Dem win to a battle in just a handful of states.

Everywhere that is red leaning will go back to blood red.

It will come down to OH, PA, FL, etc. Trump might even pick off some Lefty states that have seen the crazy violence (MN, OR).
